Everybody and their mother whos a public figure receives death threats these days. The more high profile you are the more you get. Even I’ve gotten my share. Its practically a standard part of the job. You can’t handle it you aren’t Congressional material..

as a Hollywood playmaker, those are fake tears. Even the most untalented casting director knows a BS acting job and this is one of them. Judging by the way it was read, I’m 90% sure it was another scripted “hate letter”.
