All of what you say might be possible if it weren’t for the fact that Mexico is inhabited by Mexicans!

There isn’t another politician alive who has the b_lls to do what Trump is doing at the border.

He has addressed people from terrorist nations.

He has addressed the wall.

He has now told Mexico it’s in for a world of hurt if it doesn’t end the support for illegals on it’s side of the border.

No other candidate would have done even one of these things.

Trump had a lot on his plate. He’s following through on his promises. That’s good enough for me.

Remember, Ryan and McConnell were of no help to Trump whatsoever, and McConnell is still trying to defeat Trump.

McConnell isn’t the opposition leader. There are times when I have to remind myself of that. And yes Judges... That is not his only job, and the other parts he’s just been terrible at.

The Senate has been a vast wasteland for a long time.

Dole, Lott, even Hastert...

Ryan was a man unfit to hold the position in the House. He thought he was so clever. He was out of his depth.

No, the true Conservatives in the Senate, are one or two, and even those one or two blow it on some issues.

I may be a bit too harsh there, but we sure don’t get our money’s worth...

True - but I’d wager if they renege, the tariffs immediately go into effect....and they really don’t want that or they wouldn’t deal.

“I may be a bit too harsh there, but we sure don’t get our money’s worth...”

No, you are spot on! With the exception of The Freedom Caucus in the House, Congressional Republicans have done everything possible to undermine President Trump, and it’s all about their “support of business.” Business interests have long since tossed away any idea of patriotism when it gets in the way of making money. The business with Mexico, is all about doing the bidding of the business interests.

You jump to the worst and foolish conclusion. The Senate is not there to act per your direction. You don’t matter.

There is no value for taking valuable Senate time to engage issues going nowhere. Those useless pricks under the leadership of senator mitch McConnell approved two Supreme Court Judges and numerous federal judges.

Your dogmatic charge is just dumb.

In essence, that is what Nancy Pelosi is doing now.

“You jump to the worst and foolish conclusion. The Senate is not there to act per your direction. You don’t matter.”

It would have been better for you to have not made any statement rather than make this one and prove to all of us that you are some sort of mental midget.

Anyone who thinks that “you don’t matter” when it comes to the Senate, is really just a Democrat. Filling court vacancies is about the only thing that the RINOs in the Senate have done that is positive. They really have had no other choice, because to thwart Trump’s nominees would be the death nell for all of them. When it comes to being dumb, you need to find a mirror, because you are the dumb one! Perhaps you need to go back to the DU, because you surely don’t have what it takes to post here.

“Bert is a special guy still living in the 1980’s.”

How has he managed to escape from the rest home? I see he’s from Tennessee. Used to work in Memphis. Tennessee is just like it’s neighbor, North Carolina in that it routinely sends RINO $HIT to Congress, particularly the Senate. Now that Lamar Alexander has decided to hang it up, let’s see if TN can give us a decent Senator as a replacement. As far as bert is concerned, maybe the Catfish and Hush Puppies have rotted out what’s left of his brain.

Go back to your double wide, take a walk out to your, outdoor “convenience,” and then go fry something. I’ve met people like you in Tennessee, you’re simply some sort of Anti-bellum Throwback.

I don’t know the border is the issue that got me excited about Trump in Aug/Sept of 2015 - has he been great on lots of stuff yes but the stuff he has been good at can be reversed when he is gone and quickly. If the border is such a big problem close it - oh and its a big problem stop messing around and shut it down yesterday.

Wrong. Trump is trying to force Mexico to do something about the border. Senators could just STFU for now and see if Trump's move works, but McConnell/Cornyn/Cruz are "taking valuable Senate time" to complain about Trump trying to do something about the invasion. Nobody is voting to take away Trump's tariff powers...yet. But if Mexico thinks the GOP will repeal his tariff powers, why should they help?

Meanwhile, Typhus, Ebola, human trafficking, drugs, MS13, cartels, a million more future "dreamers" ....

No..... your perception is flawed.

There is no senate time involved when Senators speak to a microphone

And there is no “senate time” involved when senators STFU. But speaking to a senate microphone can affect international negotiations.
