8-rounders are plentiful and fit just like the 7’s.

And there are larger, that extend past the grip.

Well it appears to me he is going after silencers. One mass shooting yielded a ban on bump stocks the VA. shooting MAY yield a ban on silencers. I hope I’m wrong. He needs to spend more time with his sons.

I am very disappointed that President Trump speaks about banning silencers/suppressors after the mass shooting in Virginia. This appears to me that he is trying to appease his opponents through incremental controls on guns when a suppressor has nothing to do with the violent rampage. It seems that his knowledge of why people purchase suppressors/silencers is not understood by this president.
After the next mass shooting incident will he ban handguns or perhaps rifles?
If he does not back off on this I will ABSOLUTELY sit out the 2020 election.

Sounds like he doesn't want to ban them to me....but hey, maybe you and he speak a different language than I do. I guess he could always issue an EO and then all of us pro-2A citizens could vote for the RAT.

He can piss up a rope. This is not going to go down quietly like bumpstocks. The cool guys at the range with $4000 guns and $80,000 SUVs are going to pay attention this time.
Except the bump stock allowed weapons to fire at a extended rate they weren’t designed or built for...and the circumvention are even less accurate when spraying lead than the bump stock.
Oh, I agree 100%. Personally wouldn't own a bump stock (or a full auto) for that very reason. You are sacrificing accuracy for a higher rate of fire. That is usually a terrible trade off if you are a good or even average marksman (I suppose if you can't hit the broad side of a barn to begin with, the trade off might be worth it...the old spray and pray method). The only point I was making is that such bans are utterly pointless because there are multiple ways to circumvent them if you wish to use such a device (or just like flipping the Government the bird).
Agree - While President trump only said he would “study” it, I tweeted to him that silencers were a bad bet to go after...they also serve a purpose in harmful sound reductions.
Any “ban” on silencers at the Federal level would require new legislation. The executive “ban” on bump stocks is clearly unconstitutional, but if the moribund NRA is too jammed up with its own financial corruption to do anything useful, someone else will need to bring the lawsuits.
