George Aref Nader, who was a key witness in special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation, was arrested on child pornography charges Monday in New York, federal prosecutors announced Monday.
Nader was arrested upon arrival at John F. Kennedy International Airport for "transporting visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct." He previously pleaded guilty to the same charge in 1991, the Justice Department said. If convicted, he faces a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum of 40 years.

That’s an excellent question. Such charges are very hard to get rid of, even if innocent. Lingering doubts often remain long after.

Mueller found child porn on this guy and knew he could force him to testify to anything Mueller wanted.
Nader was used to undermine the credibility of those denying working with the Russians. I am sure pressure was then put on those people to turn against Trump with Mueller saying he has witnesses (Nader) that contradict your testimony.
This is the underhanded, disgusting tactics of the cowardly former Marine Robert Mueller.
Mueller has done this before, so it fits his modus operandi.
PS: Child porn is not important to Mueller....getting Trump was more important.

He was never convicted. Nor was he even charged with possession of child pornography. He was charged with two counts of importing filthy magazines, both dropped. The magazines such as they were , were never opened by the accused but were sent to his place of business. And someone in the postal service suspected the package contained porn ...without opening it, for whatever reason, ...and reported it, triggering a search of his business, where the package was found, still unopened.
He was caught trying to bring in videos, hidden in candy tins, in 1990 ...in that case he pled guilty to one charge of importing kiddie porn and served 6 months in a VA halfway house. At the time he was apparently being used to negotiate the release of American hostages in Beirut and the defense team presented a letter from the wife of a hostage confirming that.
Either he is turned on by this stuff but they couldn’t find enough to give him hard time, or they Had additional evidence they never revealed. Maybe they never leaked it because they made a plea deal with him either to gain his cooperation or maybethey didn’t want to embarrass the UAE prince and let him off because it involved diplomatic matters. ...or perhaps he was being set up by an opponent of the prince in some sort of palace intrigue, or perhaps by someone opposed to the hostages deal.
Note the Democrats esp. Kerry were attempting to foil the deals involved both freeing hostages from Hezbollah and overthrowing the communist Ortega in Nicaragua (who himself was molesting his own daughter) Oddly, this is similar to today’s confrontation with Hezbollah and IRGC and opposition to Iran’s ally Maduro in Venezuela ...over a deal made by Democrats today including Kerry.
Most likely the feds made a deal to get his cooperation as an informant.

Remember the diplomatic kerfluffle caused by one of the same US reporters who was involved recently in the creation of media noise that became ‘cause’ for justifying Comey’s fisa warrants, as the reporter, in trying to promote the CIA’s claim Atta could not have met al Ani, falsely claimed a Czech official said Atta wasn’t in Prague, a report the official denied vociferously.
There is more going on than the soap opera both sides are presenting to the public.
Seriously, that’s something to consider. The only safe computer is one that is air gapped - that is one that does not now, never has, nor ever will be connected to the internet or a intranet.
Hackers have tremendous skills at planting or modifying evidence.
However, considering this guy was working for the rats, I tend to believe he’s into kiddie porn.
