I have the very same problem in my family. Both my parents are deceased now. Between my four other brothers and two sisters all political discussion is forbidden. I’ve stopped talking to my youngest brother. He hates Trump with a passion. I suppose I shouldn’t be this way towards him but how much does one have to put up with?

I’ve stopped speaking to my sister. It is too difficult to always tiptoe around politics and she is very arrogant about the value of her opinion even though her opinions always mirror the liberal trendy set.
Now I know how they felt in 1861.
