I agree that Democrats are in the Executive Branch specifically to undermine POTUS, but the Civil Service rules may be a problem for him.

President Trump has managed to rid himself of a lot of “leakers” and Democrat AND Republican “Never Trumpers,” but he still must deal with them.

Bingo. Several of us have pointed this out on this site hundreds of times. This is his biggest failure. For all the talk of his greatness, it's this one failure or lack of insight that is killing him. It's tripped him up from day one. He didn't purge the Obama hold-overs and he surrounded himself with OBVIOUS deep-staters and RINOS-people that everyone on here knew were bad news.
Eventually, the most ardent fans are going to have to realize this isn't some grand strategy but it's a flaw. Almost every single person that ends up leaving the administration is critical of him after leaving. Very few members of his inner circle have remained loyal. Say what you want to about the left - but they know how to keep the wagons circled. I thought DJT would be able to do that better than Clinton and Obama. I was dead wrong.
