Leon Redbone was a conservator of traditional delta music. Couple that with a droll southern sense of humor, he was a treasure that never garnered the fame he deserved. Too me he was a character that could of stepped out of Street Car Named Desire or Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Greg Sherman of Tuba Skinny will have to pick up the torch.

I think that was the inspiration for the giant audio-animatronic frog that was a big part of a big lagoon / water / music light show at The Wynn in Las Vegas. We saw it from excellent seats at a table at Daniel Boulud Brasserie, which Is no longer there.

One of a kind. I read a couple of years back on You Tube that he quit performing because of health issues. Really enjoyed his music...the things I ran across.
