I just read a couple of weeks ago that the new prince, Archie, is the first human ever to be eligible for both offices-King of England and the U.S. presidency.

No idea if that is accurate and I care if is even less.

Restricting the office of President to natural born citizens only was to preclude the possibility of European royalty from being eligible.

Natural born citizens are naturally citizens because they CANNOT possibly be anything else, they have only ONE nationality.
Born here of citizen parents.

Born in the USA to two USA citizen parents.

Attained the age of 35 years old.

USA resident for at least 14 years.

Archie ineligible all all counts.

If simply being born in the U.S. is enough to be considered a "natural born Citizen", then the current Dauphin of France (as considered by the Legitimists) Prince Louis Duke of Burgundy would be considered POTUS eligible.

Based on their writings and behaviors, this is not what the framers and founders had laid out for our republic. They were against such an idea, which is why they wrote the constitutional presidential eligibility requirements the way they did.
