"Hold on a minute!

I just read a couple of weeks ago that the new prince, Archie, is the first human ever to be eligible for both offices-King of England and the U.S. presidency.

No idea if that is accurate and I care if is even less."

If simply being born in the U.S. is enough to be considered a "natural born Citizen", then the current Dauphin of France (as considered by the Legitimists) Prince Louis Duke of Burgundy would be considered POTUS eligible.

Based on their writings and behaviors, this is not what the framers and founders had laid out for our republic. They were against such an idea, which is why they wrote the constitutional presidential eligibility requirements the way they did.

The last king of Thailand was born in Cambridge MA, according to some people he was eligible as well.
I do not subscribe to the notion that “born a citizen” is sufficient because the founders did not.
