Pertinent questions:
Lemonis says his company has been flying these flags in over 180 locations, for “a long time”.
How long is “a long time”? If it exceeds the period back to the stock drop (and a bit before, perhaps), then their flag flying is not a scam related to the stock drop, I’d say.
If the flags went up following the stock drop, then you likely have a point.
Unrelated to any alleged scam, etc., where the heck does any city have any business telling anybody how large a US flag they can fly, so long as it does not constitute some sort of safety hazard or block other advertisers (and even then, I think a complaint should have to be filed by a nearby business, and said complaint substantiated.) ???
The Camping World in these parts has been flying a huge flag since the place opened over 10+ years ago.
I have no idea when they started flying the big flag, but getting it in the news is something they are likely doing to curry favor with the public.
My guess is that THEY got people on the governing board to make the flag rule so they could get in the news.
They pissed off sportsmen, gun owners, and conservatives a couple years ago and their stock is now dropping like a rock.
The company is run by a bunch of slime balls.
“The company made no mention of the fact that the city had already changed the relevant ordinance to allow flags 10 times larger than before, nor that the city had granted Camping World a permit for a flag that would have measured 25 by 40 feet (1,000 square feet), nor that the court injunction, if ordered, would allow the company to replace the existing flag with a smaller one. As such, Camping Worlds Facebook post and Change.org petition were woefully and misleadingly lacking in highly-relevant context.”

Just what I thought, the guy is a lying slime ball.
