Iran will not surrender to U.S. pressure and will not abandon its goals even if it is bombed, President Hassan Rouhani said on Thursday, stepping up the war of words between the Islamic Republic and the United States.

When the Israelis bombed Osirak, they weren’t looking for a surrender. They were just looking to destroy Saddam’s nuclear reactor. We’d be looking to do the same thing to Iran’s ballistic missile and nuclear program. We’d probably have to destroy their big military systems to prevent them from retaliating against the Gulf states, but breaking stuff is all we’d want to do. If Iranian rebels decide to topple the regime, we might even help with air support. But that’s it.
Radioactive dust will surrender eventually.

It took them 8 years war just to have a stalemate with Iraq. It took us only two weeks to totally destroy Saddam Husiens army.
When we go to war with Iran, it will be with the mullahs, not the Iranian people. The people will kill the mullahs for us.
Nobody wants to occupy Iran. To use a technical term, it’s a sh*thole. I think the idea is to stop them from creating havoc in the area. That just involves taking away their weapons, or possible, bombing Kharg Island, their only oil export port. (I doubt that will happen as it would cause a huge exodus from Iran to the West. Nobody wants that.)

When an enemy decides to fight ot the last man, the solution is simple.
