Wells Fargo and TD Bank have turned over President Trump’s financial records to the House Financial Services Committee, Fox News confirmed on Thursday, amid a contentious legal battle between the Trump administration and congressional Democrats seeking access to sensitive files.

The committee, led by Chairwoman Maxine Waters, D-Calif., is one of several panels that have issued subpoenas and requests for Trump’s financial files.

“It is completely against the law to hand over personal records like this. “

No it is not.

gross unconstitutional search and seizure without warrant

Indeed, it sure does seem like a gross violation of the Fourth Amendment which is short, to the point, and crystal clear:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
What is the probable cause? Where is the warrant? Who signed the Oath or affirmation?

The silence of the media is equally, if not more troubling.

Agree. You can argue it is more troubling because they are actively supporting all of the illegal methods used by the Dems. They are a state controlled media, not an independent watchdog.

I would have thought the same thing. Surely there is a requirement of notice to a litigant for purposes of challenge or appeal before the records are actually released? No?

I notice that Democrats make laws do whatever they want, and Republicans whine about getting beaten to death by the laws.

Just wait til November 2020. I think that is when the stake will be driven through the heart of this country. I honestly think we’re done.

You have two judges, who heard arguments. Absolutely no crime has been committed. No probable cause has been articulated. No Reasonable Articulable Suspicion has been established. Absolutely nothing. The Dem’s just want to see his records, from before he was President, to see if they can find something. That’s it. The US Constitution doesn’t allow fishing expeditions, until now.

This is, perhaps, one of the clearest 4th Amendment violations in the history of the country. And not a single person is there to help the guy. Even if he can get to the next highest court or SCOTUS and they overturn the lower courts, which they definitely should, they will use those records to create havoc on the man and everyone he knows.

But these two, handpicked political hacks side with the Dem’s.

They will now turn those documents over to forensic accountants who will pour through them. Looking for math mistakes, if that is what it takes. And when they find one thing, they’ll realize that he cannot be impeached so they’ll go after him for tax fraud or something.

In all reality, there is only one way to stop this insanity. And that is through violence. I hate to think that or say that. And I really wish it weren’t the case, but it is.

The level of voter fraud that is going to take place next year will be unfathomable. Florida, just in case anyone thinks otherwise, will go to the Dem. Too many Puerto Ricans, illegals and Northern liberals are there for it to go to the President. They almost elected a socialist that should probably be in prison right now. Georgia and Texas are next to fall. This is not going to end well.

The first 15 seconds with the several “$” in the title, the zooming in on the title, and the horrible ominous “music” was excruciating and I couldn’t take another second. The author should just write what he wants to say. Is an execrable video really necessary?

Folks should educate themselves to the established law.

Congress has a plenary right to subpoena for anything they damn well please. Only when that subpoena is a gross violation of the Bill of Rights will the courts even take the case.

Congress investigating a POTUS will NOT be touched by the Judiciary. Just as they will shy away from Executive Privilege.

Once more the line between "private" corporation and "public" government has been blurred.

People think fascism is defined as evil thugs and dictators. Fascism is essentially an authoritarian government that allows private ownership of business but under total government control. You may own the factory, but this is what you must produce. The commies don't let them own it, that's basically the only difference.

This is moving us right into fascist territory, where the banks are now being managed by the government. Sure it's not all of their operations ... yet. But give the dems time and it will be. All of it will be, in every industry. That's what fascists do.

They media are treasonous. As such, I wish on them the punishment that fits the crime.

The test should have been triggered by the banks refusing to turn over the records. Now that the records are turned over, there’s no going back. I wonder how the Dems strong-armed the bank CEOs to get them to do this.

You are saying that congress is immuned from the provisions of the 4th amendment?

Sure would have come in handy when the State of Hawaii refused to release Obama's "birth certificate."

They will now turn those documents over to forensic accountants who will pour through them.

Step one is to make copies, lots of copies. In case the SCOTUS says "give them back. Step two is to pass copies on to the NY Times, Washington Post, and CNN. Then step 3 will be to do as you say, start combing them for bad stuff.

Exactly. This demand for private papers is completely lawless.

It is a fishing expedition masquerading as a legitimate investigation.

To any reasonable person, congressional oversight does not extend to the entire lifespan of the President. Looking for financial records from years before he was a declared candidate, much less President, is abuse of power no matter how much you think it’s legit.

So the officers and board members of these banks, just chose,
for themselves and their families, to go to war with our duly elected President.

They must fear they are about to be caught red handed.
