End of title: and a paid pundit'
CNN White House correspondent Jim Acostas upcoming book has raised eyebrows both inside and outside of the networks newsroom. The outspoken Acosta is being criticized by insiders and academics alike for further blurring the line between being an unbiased reporter, or a commentator "pushing his personal perspectives."
~snip~
One current CNN employee told Fox News that threats to the free press should obviously be taken seriously and reporters need to seek the truth and report it but Acosta may no longer be right for the job.
Jim Acosta is, a lot of times, asking the right questions but it doesnt always need to be about him and his grandstanding, the CNN staffer said. People get tired of it. Acosta is supposed to be a correspondent reporting the facts but you cant tell the difference between him and a paid pundit.
The CNNer said Acostas actions have resulted in some eye rolling around CNN, but the temperamental correspondents colleagues havent thought too much about the upcoming book.
If we dont have to talk about Jim Acosta, we dont talk about Jim Acosta, the employee added.
A reporter who covers the White House for a different news organization echoed those sentiments.
"I support reporters even irredeemably biased ones having access to the White House. But Acosta should consider how his behavior affects the rest of the press corps, who are there to be taken seriously and report the news rather than to boost their own celebrity," the journalist told Fox News on the condition of anonymity.
Frustrated reporters arent the only ones concerned about the idea of a White House reporter writing a book about a sitting president, as some in academia also have an issue with it.

“only in his own mind”..... sounds very similar to the deranged Nanny Buglousey-only in her own mind does Pres Trump need a “intervention”, is conducting a cover-up, etc....
oh well, but oh to Acosta-he could be Nan’s lil’ bro but on the news side. I’ve always found him to be very amusing in a Little Napoleonic way of course, bursting with his obvious disruption of press conferences; so on & so forth. He’s no genius either , simply a very mediocre “journo” who made it to personal national network exposure.
In reading this thread it’s almost humorous simply because it seems every time one turns around one is getting slammed by Nanny Buglousey’s extremist, almost if not criminal statements she has been shitting out of her arse over the past 24 hrs. It’s a nice break.
