Special Counsel Robert Mueller knew from the beginning of the Russia investigation that there was no evidence of collusion against the Trump presidential campaign, U.S. Rep. Devin Nunes said Wednesday.

Nunes, a California Republican and ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, said on Fox News' "Hannity" that Mueller knew then-candidate Donald Trump did not collude with the Russians to win the 2016 election.

"He knew the day he walked in the door, he knew the day he walked in the door that there was no evidence of collusion," Nunes told host Sean Hannity.

No wonder Mueller is afraid to testify under oath before Congress.

Good ol Devin... You guys know he is from Fresno... Same home base as Free Republic... And last I heard within about 6 months (things might have changed), he was one of about 30 unknown representatives that actually live in thier congressional office. He didn’t want to put roots down in DC because he didn’t want to feel like he lived there,. He was only there to represent his constitutes.
Good guy.

Mueller was the FBI director before Comey, and Comey didn't start turning the FBI, DOJ and FISA courts into the Democrat's private domestic intelligence operation. It's coming out there was a lot of FISA abuse and that the FBI had four contractors performing illegal spying all going back to 2012, when Mueller was FBI director. He was in on all of this from the start and his role as special prosecutor was to continue the cover up.

Before this is over Mueller may want to lawyer up too.

A lesser man would have caved by know. I really hope Trump nails these grease balls. Would be great to see Cummins resign over his money grabbing schemes.

That’s exactly why... from Mueller’s perspective any GOP questions are a perjury trap. He can only safely testify if GOP members are not allowed to ask him that and other uncomfortable questions.

They de-legitimized Trump, and have re-written history for posterity. They had to protect the reputations of Obama and Hillary; Trump beat them both, and his win told the honest truth about Obama’s tenure (it was horrible).

Yes, that’s my impression of Nunes also: an honest and courageous man.

I don’t doubt Mueller knew it from the get go. Charge Mueller with one count of fraud for each million he wasted.

Somewhere there is an alternate universe in which Sessions told Trump he would not be able to protect Trump from the bogus Russia collusion story. In this universe, Sessions remained in office as a Senator, Doug Jones remained an obscure state lawyer, and we had a real Attorney General for the first two years of Trump’s term.

In that universe, the Steele dossier was shot down relatively quickly by a press release “We’ve checked our passport records and have confirmed that Michael Cohen never went to Prague” along with all the other bogus parts of the press release.

In that universe, this caused the Steele dossier to be treated similar to Bush’s national guard papers — an acknowledged fake that’s mostly ignored.

Would that universe have had a wall built? Problably not since there was bipartisan opposition. But it would have been an election issue for 2018, and it seems likely the Republicans would have kept the House, giving Trump much better positioning in 2019 than he does in our Universe.

How depressing.

Thank goodness Nunes wasn't swept out of office in 2018 via ballot harvesting.

You can bet your bottom dollar the Dems will intensify their ballot harvesting in 2020 to rid themselves of an honest man in pursuit of exposing their crimes.

"A lesser man would have caved by now"

Yes, and that's why President Trump is almost unique on the world stage. He is honest and incorruptible, and he is strong, brilliantly intelligent, and puissant, and he does not shrink from conflict or confrontation. He is dedicated to TRUTH, the USA, and the American People. If he succeeds--and he will; he has already succeeded beyond anyone's wildest expectations--he will have been the greatest President in American History. He will have saved the Republic--he will have saved America--from destruction.

All this explains why the dishonest, sleazy politicians, who inhabit Washington, and their supporters and fellow travelers hate him with such passion.

Reflect for a moment on the kind of person who would be drawn like a magnet to the magnitude of power concentrated in a place like Washington. Then envisage an honest, benevolent man intruding into their domain.

This has happened. They would have destroyed a lesser man by now.

But if this honest man is also of towering intelligence, strength, and puissance, and they cannot destroy him, they will become more and more panic-stricken, desperate, hysterical, histrionic--and dangerous.

Truth seekers--honest people--see all this for exactly what it is.

The stupid and dishonest join the histrionics.
