It’s time to hold voters accountable for their choices (BARF)
Washington Compost ^ | 05/20/2019 | Matthew A. Sears

Government accountability is an idea that draws bipartisan support: calls for more transparency and oversight of politicians and bureaucracies go over well with voters. But what about oversight of the people who put them in office? Democracies give power to the people — does anyone hold the people responsible for this power?

Not really, and that has long been a problem. Since its beginning in ancient Greece, democracy has faced a crisis of legitimacy when the people have not been held accountable for their exercise of sovereignty, allowing elites to dismiss democracy as mob rule. Today, defending our democracy begins with taking responsibility for votes cast at the ballot box each year.

The author does not realize we are in a Constitutional Republic, ostensibly governed by Law.

This author is not an American, and this article thus constitutes foreign interference in US politics.

No we are not a democracy. The writer doesn’t care. He literally wants voters to face personal and direct consequences for voting for someone like Trump, or King in Iowa.
He wants men like Trump to face criminal prosecution for introducing certain policies he doesn’t like.

Hold onto your guns. I never thought we would see America at this point, so who knows where it leads. All I know for sure is that they will never stop the assault.

Got to love Twitter.

I was able to find out in less than 5 minutes that "Perfesser" Matthew A. Sears is a Lefty tax-tick who is sucking off our tax dollars to indoctrinate the college kiddies into Marxism and Antifa hate.

Zimbabwe’s dictator Mugabe felt
if the election was unsatisfactory,
one simply replaces the electorate.

But what about oversight of the media who purport to inform the public? Democracies give power to the media — does anyone hold the media responsible for this power?

Democracy doesn’t “give” power to anyone. The right of people to control their own lives comes from God, not government. The right to control government ALWAYS rests in the hands of the governed.

Ask Charles I of England ir Louis XVI of France, among countless other so-called leaders who violated the social compact.

We are not a Democracy! We are a Representative Republic. Why? Because Democracies fail when parasitic citizens figure out they can get leaders to steal from others do they can get stuff free. That is what is happening right now on the USA. Just look at the Democratic Party candidates offerings. But once upon a time a Democratic Party President said something like “Ask not what your country can do for you, but, what you can do for your country.” Does This sound like today’s Democrats?

To Mr. Sears. G-d is the answer.

Just like Madison and other Founding fathers, you must have a moral and educated people to maintain a Republic.

Oh, btw no mention of a “democracy” anywhere Mr. Sears.

Natural law and nature’s G-d Mr. Sears. I know that concept is hard for you to accept, but that’s reality.

The founding fathers understood all this which is why the limited the right to vote.

Male, over 21 and land holders (taxpayers).

Now any 18 year with no real life experience nor any skin in the game can vote for every socialist program put in front of them.

By the time they have mature and realize what world they created with their vote it is too late as another batch of no nothing children vote in more social programs.

I checked his Twitter timeline.

He's a university "professor" [read: Antifa Fascist brownshirt] who is comfortable doxxing his political enemies and using bikelocks on his political enemies on campus - "they should be uncomfortable wearing their MAGA hats".

He's also incited violence against MAGA hat wearers.

Sounds like the WaPo would like to punish those who don’t vote the politically correct way. Their idea of democracy?

Think of the massive ignorance this displays.

And just what do we do to people who voted for a Kenyan, Islamic Fundamentalist, enemy of our nation and way of life?

Shoot them?

Kick them out of their homes?

Prevent them from buying or selling?

Probably not...

But those folks who voted for a man trying to stick to our Constitution and laws, now there’s a guy whose supporters should get the full treatment. /s

Screw you Washington Post anarchists...

The right to control government ALWAYS rests in the hands of the governed.

I guess the person who wrote this piece doesn't think so.

Like so many immature left-wingers, he thinks there's some higher power that agrees with him and will at some point swoop in to back up his opinions with irresistible force.

So in short, be an obnoxious a-hole to any relatives who have the temerity to view the world differently from how you view the world.

Is anybody surprised this comes from a Leftist?
