Obama is supposed to be this bad-ass community organizer, right? So he could have easily sent these billions to his people (at least offered them loans or lines of credit to purchase homes or start their own businesses) instead of giving them to Iran.

Lack of funds is part of the reason for Iran’s pinprick strategy ... doing some damage but not enough to warrant a war.
The exportation of revolution has proven time and again to be a ruinously expensive business. Iran has been financing a Hezbollah welfare state in addition. Now, well, it’s the equivalent of what will happen in the U.S. when the EBT cards are zeroed out. War toys turn out to be inedible.
