PDS Tornado Watch issued for Texas Panhandle, expect same for Western/Central Oklahoma later

First PDS watch since 2011 where the threat is rated as “high” in all categories of severe weather. That watch from nine years ago was for portions of Alabama, and produced the deadly Tuscaloosa tornado. I pray we don’t see a repeat in Oklahoma today, but the conditions are certainly favorable.

That cell is one to watch; its been long-lived, has plenty of warm, moist air to the south to feed on, and it’s by itself.
