Why would an automobile manufacturer who was laying off employees "globally," not just in America, want to undermine Trump who is trying to retrieve automobile manufacturing to Michigan?

Is there something about Ford I don't know?

Democrat Motors? You mean the one that had to take a huge government bailout instead of smartly acquiring assets before the financial crisis? Oh wait, thats GM, not Ford.

A business has an obligation to its shareholders to maximize profits. Period. And old, industrial manufacturers have a habit of getting too fat in the middle. Especially when they don’t make sedans in the domestic market anymore.

Relax. Not everything is a plot against DJT.

I'm not sure about that. Ford's move to building only SUV's and Pickup Trucks along with the Ford Mustang is going to hurt them in the long run and I suspect they're starting to figure that out.

Gas here is over $3/gal and people thought sub $2.50/gal was going to last forever. Already hearing everyone who dumped their cars for SUV's bitching about fuel prices.

I've driven an SUV since 1996 so I don't complain about the gas prices. I knew what I was doing when I bought mine - my driving requirements are typically far more minimal than most other folks so rising gas prices are taking a bite out of their budgets.

Again, already hearing the whining when I stop for gas once every few weeks and they've been whining awhile already.

most of the job losses are in Europe due to Ford’s loss making business here.

Though for the life of me I don’t understand why they are loss-making (I haven’t really researched it) - they make good, popular cars like the Ford Focus and Mondeo that are very common here in Poland.
