This is disgusting. This was an orchestrated attack BY THE POLICE. They directed them toward a political campaign event and then formed a line “just within rock throwing distance”. Completely deliberate. They just wanted the press to be able to write “Tommy event gets violent”, which is precisely what they’ve done. The respective headlines aren’t just completely inaccurate, they’re a bold faced lie.
The lives of women and children were put in danger on purpose. They can’t even claim one or two officers made a poor decision, this was the entire force following a playbook. Somebody could have been really hurt, it’s so irresponsible I’m almost lost for words. This was criminal by the police.
The thing is, if their goal is to drain support for Tommy they’re having the opposite effect. How is that working class community going to respond to a gang of Muslims from elsewhere committing such violence? It elevates Tommy’s message!
