A Burr in their britches

A BURR IN THEIR BRITCHES Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans have done everything but build a moat and a drawbridge to keep House Democrats from pursuing President Trump.

So the idea that they would then turn and eat one of their own to save Trump’s eldest son another day of testimony was foolish on its face.

Depending on your point of view, you may think that Senate Republicans acted out of patriotic virtue, partisan self-interest or even malign intent. But work no one could reasonably argue that that they have not acted to protect Trump.

Not only have the members of the Senate GOP made it clear that they will not convict the president on the charges House Democrats are considering for impeachment, but they have generally used their chairmanships and control of schedule to deny Democrats the chance to harass or genuinely threaten the Trump presidency.

In addition, the Senate Judiciary committee under Lindsey Graham of South Carolina has enlisted itself in the war against the Deep State. If you say “Mueller” north of Statuary Hall these days you’ll get 14 “Bruce Orrs” and two dozen “Page and Strzoks” for your penance. Whether you like these probes of probes or not, they too are just as easily explained by honest dealing and pursuit of truth as those run by Democrats in the lower chamber.

They assume anyone remotely related to Trump is a Nazi anyway -- so who gives a sh!t?

Apparently we do, because we keep posting about this sh!t. It's that need to be accepted. /humor

Get me info on a deceased relative (father, paternal grandfather) and I can easily find out.

The Senate voted 100% to deny Donald Trump recess appointments.

They are all anti-conservative globalists. Burr is just one of the worst of the worst.

One No vote would have enabled the duly-elected Republican President. Not Cruz. Not Lee. Not Paul.

I concur.
Reminds me of Porky Pig.
He’s arrogant, rude and “snitty.”

For a West Virginian, he’s neither “down home nor friendly.”
Far from it, he most resembles “no account, trailer trash,” like we have here in Ocean Beach. LOL.

He thinks he’s a political “know it all insider,” but I can’t imagine anyone who’s actually “in the know” giving him any insider information, can you?

If he says “I’ll tell you what...” one more time, I’ll scream. Didn’t he and his buddy Dana Perino have their own daytime show on Fox a few years ago? Funny thing though. It got cancelled because apparently nobody GAF what they had to say. Lol.

Fact free and insane rantings of a long standing Never Trumper. Good to see what the enemy is thinking, though.

The younger Trump can get out of this simply by pleading the 5th and refusing to show up.

In fact, I’ve noticed that the story itself seems to have faded from the news — with the exception of articles that are being posted by Freepers here for the second or third time in the last 48 hours.

LOL. You sound just as insane as Stirewalt. The Dems would love nothing better than to see Jr. plead the 5th in front of a GOP committee.

The reason this story is on the back burner for the moment is that the Senate GOP circled the wagons around Burr and nothing has happened. The subpeanos stands and Burr continues undermining POTUS as chair of the commitee.
