Attempt to hack email server stunned Clinton aide, FBI files show
Fox News ^ | May 07 2019 | Gregg Re

"omg."

That was the three-letter response from top Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin -- familiar Internet shorthand for "Oh my God!" -- when Justin Cooper, the technology pro overseeing Clinton's private home-based email servers, told her shortly after midnight on Jan. 9, 2011, that "someone was trying to hack us."

The revelation was contained in a trove of newly released, partially redacted FBI documents from the agency's investigation into whether Clinton mishandled classified information -- a probe known as the "Midyear Exam." The document release reveals numerous episodes in which the Clinton team either suspected it had been hacked or seemingly acknowledged that security measures had come up short.

In a tense email exchange, Cooper wrote to Abedin at 2:57 a.m. Sunday: "I had to shut down the server. Someone was trying to hack us and while they did not get in i didnt want to let them have the chance to. I will restart in the morning."

The source told Fox News the hack was from a Chinese company, describing it as a front for Chinese intelligence.

And Biden thinks China is not a problem???

Huma and Hillary knew the system was not secure and did not care.

...Clinton's private home-based email servers, ...

That was the problem - not the hackers. I mean, a pox on all the hackers’ houses, but hackers are going to hack. Particularly foreign entities.
The problem is with a Secretary of State who was allowed to keep National confidential documents on her home bathroom server. That was the real crime.

And 18 CIA operatives operating in China paid for this little peccadillo with their lives.

“Huma and Hillary knew the system was not secure and did not care.”

Of course not, because all of Hillary's perceived enemies are in the US. No one from China or Russia or any other country is going to directly compete with her for the Presidency. Her enemies are those people who would dare deprive her of her NEED to prove her father was wrong about her and that she is special, historical, and always right.

She's really pathetic, but dangerously pathetic.

With professional, state-level actors, you never know they were there.

"The problem is with a Secretary of State who was allowed to keep National confidential documents on her home bathroom server. That was the real crime."

No, the real crimes were HRC and her thugs systematically, routinely, and illegally

  1. REMOVING TS & SAP files from a SCIF

  2. DELETING [almost] all classification markings

  3. TRANSMITTING the files over the unsecure Internet

  4. STORING the files on her unsecure server

  5. RE-TRANSMITTING them to her Blackberry -- over unsecure cellular radio

  6. HRC, herself, NEVER CLASSIFYING anything she sent across the internet.

  7. DESTROYING as much of the files (evidence) as she could...

~~~~~~~
I spelled it all out (in graphic video) HERE...
This really seems like a forced sentence. As if preparing for a alibi coverup.
When I had my ecommerce business website I had access to the remote server via SSH to the CentOS operating system. During an episode of some glitch that I thought might be hacking, I was monitoring traffic and saw this almost constant connections from overseas.
I inquired with the server guys and they said it's just Russian and Chinese computers trying to break in by breaking the password. Routine stuff where they might be able to steal your customer data and sell it.
So the answer in my case was make sure you have a good password and ignore it. The idea of shutting down the server sounds like BS to me.
Interesting but there is no connection to Hillary’s server or email. That’s what you might want to comment on.
Not even the Obama CIA would be emailing Hill about their assets.
I couldn’t be more in agreement with your post.
Like our Constitution, which assumes that Men are evil, flawed, and weak and we should be protected from that, we have to assume that we are always being poked, exploited, and hacked 24x7 and plan that way.
We can do very little about people in a basement in China or Russia who hack (or room-fuls of computers with employees actively hacking on the part of a government) and it is us to lock our doors.
That flaunting by Clinton and her team, openly and unashamedly, knowing it was WRONG and against the law and not even CARING if our national security was compromised, makes the hacking itself pale entirely in comparison.
Boy, I get hot even just typing this post. A pox on her and all like her. Who knows what else she has simply given to our foes.
What are you looking for? A purchase order and a thank you note?
When did she take office? When did this rollup commence? She had names of CIA guys in Benghazi.
The latest state, not industrial spy case where a Chinese was arrested (within the last 45 days) strongly suggested he had CIA names. Those names on HRC’s server and his computer would be a dead nuts lock. For the Chinese, at least.
"Not even the Obama CIA would be emailing Hill about their assets."
~~~~~~~~

You need to learn how things work.

  1. HRC was Secretary of State.

  2. The Dept. of State (DoS) runs our embassies.

  3. CIA Station Chiefs typically occupy embassy positions.

  4. The DoS is neck-deep in worldwide espionage -- including supporting CIA and its local assets.

  5. HRC had access to all of the above -- including CIA-related e-mails -- on the DoS servers accessed via DoS SCIFs.

Now, read my #9 on this thread for the rest of the story.

Look, you’re a freeper, I gave you the benefit of the doubt. You said that 18 CIA agents died because of Hillary’s home server. But you have no evidence and you’re pretty damn testy about it, too.

If an earthquake happens in California and a building collapses in Arizona, did the latter happen because of the former? Maybe but hardly conclusive. Your little example isn’t even circumstantial evidence. I guarantee you that if it was 50% likely that her “unclassified” emails had killed CIA agents that would have been headline news.

I work in aero/defense. Agents do get rounded up and executed every 5-10 years when something breaches. I was at a meeting once where a Gov’t official admitted as much. I might detest Hillary but I am not going to accuse her of something so heinous as a callous disregard for intelligence assets without seeing proof.

So go ahead and peddle your theory but it looks pretty groundless.

Say what you will, it's not true.

The Secretary of State no doubt knows that the CIA has agents in China. Hell, that's not much of a secret, the Chinese know that we have agents there.

But the identities of those agents are known only to their handlers. Those handlers would never, ever let the true identities out. I bet that the Director of the CIA doesn't know true identities. And I guarantee you that the Secretary of State wouldn't know either.

Most agents buried deep within another country are exposed by their own devices or by good counter-intelligence.
