Like most of us old timers, I have seen plenty of dementia.

I'm not sure whether Joe has dementia proper or is just rusty due to lack of use. If he really has early onset dementia, I would think his wife and family would step in to prevent the inevitable train wreck.

Joe has always been a bit of an idiot so dementia might be hard to tease apart from his regular buffoonery.;-)
