The Left Continues to Peddle the Lie that Trump Represents a Threat to Press Freedom

Saturday night’s White House Correspondents dinner once again came and went without most Americans having paid it any serious attention, and for the third straight year, our president chose to miss this increasingly farcical event where journalists pat each other on the back for the fine jobs they believe themselves to be doing.  What made this year’s event a little different than years past is that none of the other senior members of the White House staff attended, either.

“That decision came after Sarah Huckabee Sanders endured cruel taunts at the hands of last year’s featured speaker, comedian Michelle Wolf,” Emily Zanotti reports at The Daily Wire.  “[D]espite a longstanding tradition of good-natured ribbing between the press and the president, through dueling speeches, the White House simply stopped RSVPing to the event.”

Without the luxury of roasting their political enemies in attendance to feign a comedic tone rather than a purely adversarial one, the organizers of the event dropped the façade of humor in favor of a “funerary tone” led by a historian rather than the traditional choice of a comedian.

But that doesn’t necessarily mean that the event offered anything short of bad comedy.

For example, the White House Correspondents Association’s president Olivier Knox committed to a “dark sermon,” according to Grabien News.

In February of 2017, he told the audience, “the president called us the enemy of the people,” he said.  A few days later, he said, his son asked if Donald Trump was going to put him in prison.  &ldquodquo

WHAT THESE WHINERS IN THE CORRESPONDENT’s DINNER NEVER MENTION IS THIS:

it was under the auspices of the ESPIONAGE ACT that President Obama cracked down on journalists “more than any other administration since Woodrow Wilson,” according to Michael Barone at the Washington Examiner in 2013.

See here:

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/obama-administration-cracks-down-on-journalists-more-than-any-since-woodrow-wilson

He cites 20-year veteran of The New York Times, David Sanger, as having called the Obama administration “the most closed, control-freak administration” he’d ever witnessed.

Also, the DOJ had been secretly dipping into the personal and professional communications of Fox News Washington correspondent James Rosen. The case involved Rosen’s interactions with a State Department contractor monitoring North Korea’s nuclear program.

What troubled the media community most about the DOJ response was the use of search warrants to investigate a reporter and the threat to prosecute him under the terms of Espionage Act as an “as an aider, abettor and/or co-conspirator.”

Did they ever mention the hacking of Sharryl Atkinson’s computer?

Nope, they never mentioned the above at all.

What to do about the lie when repeated enough becomes the ‘truth’?
Today’s ‘Free Press’ are nothing more than ‘Progressive’ Activists. They do not report ‘just the facts’ any longer.

They, in fact, would make the editors of the Nazi Völkischer Beobachter and the Soviet Union-era Izvestia and Pravda proud as "propaganda organs."

Trump is not Hitler.

How many political opponents of Trump have been assassinated or put in jail? Zero.

How made media personalities who wrote critical, even scathing, articles about Trump have been assassinated or put in jail? Zero.

Now contrast that with what happens in Putin’s Russia or Red China.

Trump is not the real threat, let’s be honest here.

From the Daily Beast about Michelle Wolf: “Michelle Wolf is the future of stand-up comedy.” She sure is. A collection of no talent, unfunny political turds that are taking up bandwidth.

What's his claim? I don't remember.

However, I do remember Obama wanted to put "monitors" into the newsrooms. Knowing that they might not be able to make Obama "President For Life", even the NYT balked at that.

Michael Knowles: Trump obstructed Dem attempt to overturn 2016 election with a coup!

Fox News ^ | 27 April 2019 | Michael Knowles

Yes, President Trump committed obstruction. From the moment he defeated Hillary Clinton, Democrats have tried to overturn the 2016 election, but Trump has obstructed their efforts every step of the way. This was obstruction in the interests of justice.

The president should be applauded for it. First, partisans within the Justice Department spied on the Trump presidential campaign. They used a mainstream news article to obtain a warrant to surveil Trump’s campaign staff by misleading a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court judge about the source of the article.

In fact, the news story was based on unverified opposition research funded by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. Recently uncovered text messages between disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page suggest this surveillance continued after the election, shifting its focus from the Trump campaign to the transition team of then-President-elect Trump.

Then, according to fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, several Justice Department and FBI officials discussed staging what would have amounted to a coup to oust the duly elected president of the United States from office. The coup would have been staged by invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office.

Link to article enclosed. It starts off with the following:

“Bob Woodward called a senior White House official last week to tell him that in a piece in that weekend’s Washington Post, he was going to question President Barack Obama’s account of how sequestration came about — and got a major-league brushback. The Obama aide ‘yelled at me for about a half-hour,’ “.

Trump definitely poses a threat to the leftist press propaganda and lies. He throws it back at them more effectively than anyone in modern US history and that’s driving them nuts.

And of course not a word about what they know he wants them to do...

Simply be honest and fair.

Fat chance...

President Trump is not stopping the media from printing or airing fake news. He is merely pointing it out and that has the msm upset.

The presstitutes and media whores whine and wail about censorship...even as they criticize Trump multiple times per day to a degree that has never been seen in this country. Nixon got treated more fairly (and the press/media HATED him with a passion).

So where, exactly, is the censorship? Where are the jailed journalists, where are the shuttered papers and networks being denied broadcast licenses?

You know, what is most infuriating about these folks is that they think that we are so stupid as to believe their BS. They hold us in contempt...and now you know why the public feels exactly the same about them.
