"Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor's." Numbers 5:12-28

You are not to covet these things. Whether a person, an animal, an inanimate object... if it is not yours, not supposed to be yours, don’t covet it.

You are your husband’s wife. He is your husband. He belongs to you in that sense. You belong to him. That doesn’t mean you can sell him.

You read a lot of things into scripture that aren’t there.
