“At the worst” in Donald Trump, the past high roller and conspicuous consumer and playboy, we have a parallel to Rahab the Harlot.
God wiped all Rahab’s sin off the slate in her demonstrated faith in the salvation of the God of the Jews — and she gets praise in the New Testament book of Hebrews. Rahab was wise when she learned of this God, whatever foolish things she had done in the past. America has acted the playboy for a long, long time; why shouldn’t a revival begin with a president who had been a playboy?
I’ll take a playboy over a boy who thinks he’s a playgirl any day of the week.
Great point.
He’s sowed his oats, hopefully asked forgiveness for his sins, and sees like a genuinely good and Christian man.
And America HAS acted like a playboy for a long time.
Good to have someone who went there but came out of it for the better.
