The demand for racists greatly exceeds the supply. One guy who wrote a book on it estimated four faked racist incidents for every real one.

When you convince everyone that the primary characteristic of their existence is their membership in a unique group and then try to herd all these many unique groups into one unified body on the assumption that the one thing all these unique groups have in common is that they have been victimized by Whitey AND THEN you try to get them to follow an old White man...
There is a good likelihood the center will not hold.
In fact, given that the assumption on which these unique groups are unified is FALSE (i.e., they are NOT victimized by Whitey), it is possible that no one can hold the group together long enough to accomplish the goals of nominating and then electing a leader.
One has to wonder whose bright idea it was to try to use "identity politics" to form a party. That's just about as wacky as "the green new deal."
To paraphrase the ever quotable Kamala Harris, "perhaps they should have a conversation about this."

It’s a shameless political “tactic” . if the democrat party didn’t have the media to advance their agenda 24/7, the democrats would be as relevant as the Whigs.

They wanted race-baiting to scare blacks to vote for Dems, they got it! The problem is the national ticket only seats two, so they need candidates who can check as many boxes as possible. They are going to have a real challenge keeping blacks and browns enthusiastic without losing white and Asian voters.
The black woman with a sign that she wasn’t a “super-predator” was a defining moment in Hillary’s campaign; blacks could have delivered PA, WI, and MI to Hillary, and they didn’t. Give credit where it is due!
