In Mexico, migrants turn to ‘The Beast’ after highway raids
Portland Press Herald (Maine) ^ | 24 April 2019 | MARK STEVENSON AND SONIA PEREZ D.ASSOCIATED PRESS

(Mexican) Police have dissolved a caravan of some 3,000 Central Americans, leading them to hitch a ride north on a freight train known as 'The Beast.' ...about a week ago, a longtime migrant rights activist, the Rev. Alejandro Solalinde, noticed a change: Large numbers of migrants started getting off the train in Ixtepec, the Oaxaca town where his Brothers on the Road shelter is located. Many had waited weeks for Mexican visas that never materialized, and simply decided to head north without papers. Others were part of a 3,000-person migrant caravan that was broken up in a raid Monday by federal police and immigration agents on a highway east of Ixtepec.

"With dozens of police and immigration checkpoints dotting the highways, many migrants now view the train as a safer, albeit still risky, way to reach the U.S. border... the (Mexican) government doesn’t want them to be seen... Solalinde predicts “they’re not going to allow caravans anymore.”"

In the narrowest part of Mexico, in Oaxaca State, transportation is further channelized by roads that mainly run in narrow corridors near the North and South Coasts, with mountains in the middle. Mexican police are now interdicting caravans at those chokepoints.

Apparently, some of the funding has dried up as well, that used to support the caravans.

Ideal target region for a few drone strikes... That would send them home...

Except all the Africans and Middle-Easterners and sub-continenters... They will continue in their quest of the high probability for getting a potential job as an elected government politician or hired government employee...

“Nobody is ever going to be able to stop the flow of migration,” Solalinde said.

Yeah, we could stop it. In a heartbeat. But we have too many highly placed officials who are corrupt, so likely, you're right.

I’m thinking a CIA team knocking a few tracks out every 25 miles or so, some contaminated diesel fuel, sand it the gear boxes, use your imagination.

I’m so deflated and without any hope these bastards will be stopped from invading our country! Trump and the government have failed us! He said he was going to close the border.he didn’t, he said he was going to instruct our Ag to enforce his new immigration policy, it hasn’t happened, he said he was going to station MORE military on the border, he didn’t ..I am so disappointed and discouraged! Living on the border I’m seeing firsthand the thousands that are making their way into our soil and given by force every free government assistant there is! Our country will never be the same once they make roots here! The demonKKKrats and the invaders socialism will keep the rats in power until this country folds!! We are at the brink of our country becoming a third world nation..AND THERE AIN’T ONE EFFIN THING WE CAN DO!! Expect a mirror image of constant terrorist attacks from Isis that have crossed our border like in France and the U.K....WAIT FOR IT!!

In the hundreds of postings here in Free Republic rarely is this brought up. It’s Known As Reciprocity. We should be treating anybody illegally crossing the Mexican border into the US the way the Mexican’s do treat any American illegally doing the same.crossing into Mexico. Entry denied fined and possible imprisonment before getting kicked out.

It’s time we consider illegal entry by any person who is a non Mexican citizen illegally entering the United States through the US Mexican border a defacto Mexican citizen with limited Mexican constitutional rights subject to their laws while transiting. As well as any Mexican citizen entering illegally exempting those who do so legally and meet US citizenship requirements.

According to the Mexican constitution Americans legally in Mexico Besides being unable to vote one must also be a citizen to own land and Mexico is very restrictive about granting citizenship. Because of that a US citizen besides not being able to vote, and cannot have title in their name to any land property in Mexico. And until that is changed the US and the affected state should consider making that reciprocal. Prohibiting any illegal entrant employment, voting, and land ownership privileges fully enforced .In other words Sneak into this country before expulsion no job no voting no landowning ..

It is all a successful continuation of our elite rulers’ population replacement plan for the United States.

Sweden, GB deathbed; EU dying.
The UnitedStates constitutional republic cannot be allowed to thwart world government.

( wonder how Soros/Koch/Pope Francis et al. gonna work the deal with global Islamist supremacy? )

That is because reciprocity and legalities don’t mean jack sheist anymore on this side of the border.

The treasonous UniParty and treasonous Federal judiciary want and demand open borders.

“I am so disappointed and discouraged! ...Expect a mirror image of constant terrorist attacks from Isis”

Take heart, the Trump Administration is working hard - it is just tough to fix. Some things require Congress to act, and others require time - to either work through the courts, or just to physically get done (like building barrier).

One thing that is in place, is the so-called muslim ban, which took a while to overcome the legal challenges. But it is now in place, and helping protect us from a heavy inflow of islamist militants. Several other actions limit high risk immigrants as well - about a half dozen Executive Orders have changed a bunch of policies and procedures.

There are lots of little things that have been put in place, that add up. More immigration judges have been hired. For the first time in a long time, the backlog of immigration cases had finally stopped growing. More Military have been, and will be sent to reinforce Border Patrol. Workplace enforcement has increased. A broad series of legal challenges has been launched by the Administration, challenging things like sanctuary city/state policies at the local level.

There are a lot of big efforts working as well. A current Government-wide effort to remove benefits from illegals, is already starting to roll out changes, like the recent change in qualifying for public housing by HUD. More of these actions are expected to roll out through Summer, to address “welfare seeking”.

And of course, barrier building is a multi-year effort. When the Government appropriates money for construction, they use “five year” money (meaning they have five years to spend it), because that is how long such projects usually take to complete. This Administration is expediting the border barrier so much, that the 2017 money’s work is already completed. In 2019, they are working to contract four times as much money as 2017 and 2018 combined - hundreds of miles, where it is needed most - enough to start seriously impacting immigration flows.

With less fanfare, a big push in technology has been going on as well. Like barrier building, all the preparatory work done in the first two years is producing a much bigger rollout of capability this year and next.

The enemy gets a vote though, and their caravan program was effective for a while, in herding more people over the border. It looks like that is now starting to get choked off though, thanks to a broad series of efforts (pressuring other Governments, changing our policies, like “”Wait in Mexico”, and investigating the funding and organizers).

There is an effort underway to get “emergency” legislation through Congress, to allow unaccompanied children to be immediately deported to any country (currently only Canada and Mexico are allowed) and to undo the “Flores Agreement” that limits detention of families with children. They are working to have something in May.

The area where the first high profile caravan hit the border in San Diego, has already been permanently fortified with the new 18 foot bollard barrier, which that caravan could not defeat (they tried to storm around the new sections). A second run of 30 foot bollards is now being installed behind that first one, which will be done around Christmas, along with cameras, stadium lighting, high speed road and alarm systems. The doorway in San Diego will be firmly shut this year - it is already quieter.

It is a long term war, and the Trump Administration is fighting on every front. No Administration has cracked down on illegal immigration this hard, since Eisenhower.

The tough part about reciprocity, is having 190 different sets of rules, for every other country on Earth.

No doubt that we need stronger rules, like Mexico has.

Not much chance of getting better laws, while Democrats hold the House though.

I'm sorry for your trouble but certainly feel your frustration. Mr Trump made promises he's either unable or unwilling to keep.

Maybe he campaigned as a businessman but now he wants what every first term president wants: a second term.

One thing's for sure, prior to Trump we had 28 years of globalist, treasonous presidents who had almost three decades to reshape America's judiciary and legislative apparatus. They put liberals in every judge's seat they could.

And even prior to that, Reagan also stabbed us in the back with his immigrant amnesty.
