In response to media inquiry and FOIA demands, the government of Australia formally admitted today to the role of High Commissioner Alexander Downer and his engagements with George Papadopoulos in 2016. The timing coincides with the Mueller Report (released today), which states it was information about this engagement from Alexander Downer that opened the FBI counterintelligence investigation in July 2016.

The Australian government cited the conclusion of the Robert Mueller special counsel investigation as the background for their willingness to comply with an 15-month-old FOIA request from Buzzfeed News.

My understanding is it was Aussie taxpayer money, but Downer was the head of their equivalent of the CIA. He was also foreign minister for a while. The way it works is Australia does the illegal spying on Americans and then shares it with the CIA. That way the CIA doesn't have to break the law themselves.

news.com.au

The Australian government confirmed to news.com.au it has not renewed any of its partnerships with the scandal-plagued Clinton Foundation, effectively ending 10 years of taxpayer-funded contributions worth more than $88 million.

The Clinton Foundation has a rocky past. It was described as “a slush fund”, is still at the centre of an FBI investigation and was revealed to have spent more than $50 million on travel.

Despite that, the official website for the charity shows contributions from both AUSAID and the Commonwealth of Australia, each worth between $10 million and $25 million.
News.com.au approached the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for comment about how much was donated and why the Clinton Foundation was chosen as a recipient.

A DFAT spokeswoman said all funding is used “solely for agreed development projects” and Clinton charities have “a proven track record” in helping developing countries.
Australia jumping ship is part of a post-US election trend away from the former Secretary of State and presidential candidate’s fundraising ventures.

Norway, one of the Clinton Foundation’s most prolific donors, is reducing its contribution from $20 million annually to almost a quarter of that, Observerreported.
One reason for the drop-off could be increased scrutiny on international donors. The International Business Times reported in 2015 on curious links between donors and State Department approval.

IBT wrote that the State Department approved massive commercial arms sales for countries which had donated to the Clinton charity.

More than $165 billion worth of arms sales were approved by the State Department to 20 nations whose governments gave money to the Clinton Foundation, data shows. The counties buying weapons from the US were the same countries previously condemned for human rights abuses. They included Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

But what does Australia gain from topping up the Clinton coffers? The Australianreported in February that Australia was “the single biggest foreign government source of funds for the Clinton Foundation” but questions remain unanswered about the agreement between the two parties.

“It’s not clear why Canberra had to go through an American foundation to deliver aid to Asian countries (including Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Vietnam). There is now every chance the payments will become embroiled in presidential politics.”

The Daily Telegraph wrote in October that “Lo and behold, (Julia Gillard) became chairman (of the Clinton-affiliated Global Partnership for Education) in 2014”, one year after being defeated in a leadership ballot by Kevin Rudd.
Hillary Clinton’s Foundation has been at the centre of a number of controversies. Australia cutting ties with the Clinton charities is surprising given Foreign Minister Julie Bishop’s years of support.

In a press release dated September 22, 2014, Ms Bishop committed to five years of support for the Clinton Health Access Initiative, the sister organisation of the Clinton Foundation.

“Since 2006, Australia has contributed $88 million to CHAI,” the statement read. The Clinton Foundation has been linked to a number of scandals. One involved Russian uranium, another involved aid to earthquake-hit Haiti and a third involved Swiss banking giant UBS AG.

President-elect Donald Trump promised to follow through with an investigation into the foundation if he became leader of the free world. But this week he backed away from that stance.“I don’t want to hurt the Clintons, I really don’t,’’ he told The New York Times. “She went through a lot and suffered greatly in many different ways, and I am not looking to hurt them at all. The campaign was vicious.”
The Clintons maintain they’ve done nothing wrong. In a statement, spokesman Brian Fallon said no one “has ever produced a shred of evidence supporting the theory that Hillary Clinton ever took action as Secretary of State to support the interests of donors to the Clinton Foundation.”

Hi.

Maybe people don’t see this the way I do, but the other three “eyes” committed an act of war.

And our CIA and FBI committed treason.

I want retribution...with extreme prejudice.

Now.

Here’s what I noticed. The Mueller report claims Russia wanted to “help” the Trump campaign. But what follows are offers for a meeting between Putin and Trump. That’s hardly nefarious. The meetings might have raised the public perception of Trump on foreign affairs but so what? And Trump never had such a meeting. Trump’s meeting with a foreign president was with the Mexican president and I think that helped quite a bit.

A late day submission to DC Circuit Court in a FOIA case reveals the content of previously
unknown James Comey memos. Obama’s entire anti-Trump operation is memorialized in writing:

<><> how Obama’s FBI Director James Comey wrote down the sources and code-names assigned;
<><> how confidential sources engaged with FISA coverage initiated by Obama’s FBI;
<><> names foreign governments assisting Obama and Hillary with their vile efforts;
<><> and the rollout plans for Obama’s phony investigation.....”by the book.”

During the campaign Hillary bragged about “foreign governments” supporting her election.

Are these the same “foreign governments” Comey had assisting their efforts to frame Trump? (smirk)

That would mean Obama and Hillary were colluding with
foreign governments to meddle in our elections, wouldnt it Donald?

Hillary and Saudi King Abdullah circa 2012.

The Saudis placed multi-million dollar bets on 2016 Hillary to win. They showered the Clintons with petrodollars.

ITEM <><> Prince of Abu Dhabi and Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahayan and the Al Nahayan family of Abu Dhabi's $5,000,000 donation to the Clinton Foundation's Global Initiative. got them (A) access to HRC at State Dept, and, (B) a $500,000 environmental speech by Bill Clinton given at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi while HRC was meeting in Washington with UAR's Shaikh Abdullah.

ITEM<><>EXCLUSIVE: Persian Gulf Sheikhs Gave Bill & Hillary $100 Million [VIDEO]

A Daily Caller News Foundation investigation reveals that Bill and Hillary Clinton received at least $100 million from autocratic Persian Gulf states and their leaders, potentially undermining Democratic presidential candidate Hillary’s claim she can carry out independent Middle East policies.

ITEM <><> As a presidential candidate, the amount of foreign cash the Clintons have amassed from the Persian Gulf states is “simply unprecedented,” says national security analyst Patrick Poole. “These regimes are buying access. You’ve got the Saudis, the Kuwaitis, Oman, Qatar and the UAE. There are massive conflicts of interest. It’s beyond comprehension,” Poole told TheDCNF in an interview.

ITEM <><> Overall, the Clinton Foundation has received upwards of $85 million in donations from five Persian Gulf states and their monarchs, according to the foundation’s website. Activist groups have charged the five states — Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) — committed numerous human rights abuses.

ITEM <><>the Saudis helped stage Hillary's election night "victory"---giving her a huge expensive flat screen TV supposedly to air her crashing through a symbolic 500,000 dollar glass ceiling. (This from a kingdom where women are not allowed to drive).

ITEM <><> Several Persian Gulf states contributed millions to the Clinton presidential library in Arkansas.

ITEM<><> Saudi Arabia Funded 20% Of Hillary's Presidential Campaign, / Zerohedge ^ | Jun 14, 2016| Tyler Durden / FR Posted by xzins

(NOTE: It is illegal in the United States for foreign countries to influence the outcome of elections by funding candidates. That appears not to have stopped the Saudis, however.)

“Saudi Arabia provided with full enthusiasm 20 percent of the cost of Hillary Clinton’s election"......the report quoted Saudi Prince Mohammed as having said. According to the US Federal Election commission, over the past two years Clinton has raised a little more than $211.8 million. 20% of this sum is $42.4 million. The Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday that the senior royal was due to fly to Washington where he will meet Obama admin officials to discuss US-Saudi ties. --SNIP--

ITEM<><> Links between Saudi Arabia and the Clinton family, including with Hillary’s campaign, are well reported. In 2008, it was revealed that the Gulf kingdom had donated between $10m and $25m to the Clinton Foundation, a charity set up by Hillary’s husband and former US President Bill Clinton.

ITEM<><> Last year the Centre for Studies and Media Affairs at the Saudi Royal Court paid public relations firm the Podesta Group $200,000 for a month- long project to provide “public relations services”. The Podesta Group was founded in 1988 by brothers John and Tony Podesta. John Podesta is the chair of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign.

Saudi Royals greet then-Secy Hillary (she checks to make sure she's on-camera). The suck-up begins.
