The Australian government confirmed to news.com.au it has not renewed any of its partnerships with the scandal-plagued Clinton Foundation, effectively ending 10 years of taxpayer-funded contributions worth more than $88 million.

The Clinton Foundation has a rocky past. It was described as “a slush fund”, is still at the centre of an FBI investigation and was revealed to have spent more than $50 million on travel.

Despite that, the official website for the charity shows contributions from both AUSAID and the Commonwealth of Australia, each worth between $10 million and $25 million.
News.com.au approached the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for comment about how much was donated and why the Clinton Foundation was chosen as a recipient.

A DFAT spokeswoman said all funding is used “solely for agreed development projects” and Clinton charities have “a proven track record” in helping developing countries.
Australia jumping ship is part of a post-US election trend away from the former Secretary of State and presidential candidate’s fundraising ventures.

Norway, one of the Clinton Foundation’s most prolific donors, is reducing its contribution from $20 million annually to almost a quarter of that, Observerreported.
One reason for the drop-off could be increased scrutiny on international donors. The International Business Times reported in 2015 on curious links between donors and State Department approval.

IBT wrote that the State Department approved massive commercial arms sales for countries which had donated to the Clinton charity.

More than $165 billion worth of arms sales were approved by the State Department to 20 nations whose governments gave money to the Clinton Foundation, data shows. The counties buying weapons from the US were the same countries previously condemned for human rights abuses. They included Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

But what does Australia gain from topping up the Clinton coffers? The Australianreported in February that Australia was “the single biggest foreign government source of funds for the Clinton Foundation” but questions remain unanswered about the agreement between the two parties.

“It’s not clear why Canberra had to go through an American foundation to deliver aid to Asian countries (including Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Vietnam). There is now every chance the payments will become embroiled in presidential politics.”

The Daily Telegraph wrote in October that “Lo and behold, (Julia Gillard) became chairman (of the Clinton-affiliated Global Partnership for Education) in 2014”, one year after being defeated in a leadership ballot by Kevin Rudd.
Hillary Clinton’s Foundation has been at the centre of a number of controversies. Australia cutting ties with the Clinton charities is surprising given Foreign Minister Julie Bishop’s years of support.

In a press release dated September 22, 2014, Ms Bishop committed to five years of support for the Clinton Health Access Initiative, the sister organisation of the Clinton Foundation.

“Since 2006, Australia has contributed $88 million to CHAI,” the statement read. The Clinton Foundation has been linked to a number of scandals. One involved Russian uranium, another involved aid to earthquake-hit Haiti and a third involved Swiss banking giant UBS AG.

President-elect Donald Trump promised to follow through with an investigation into the foundation if he became leader of the free world. But this week he backed away from that stance.“I don’t want to hurt the Clintons, I really don’t,’’ he told The New York Times. “She went through a lot and suffered greatly in many different ways, and I am not looking to hurt them at all. The campaign was vicious.”
The Clintons maintain they’ve done nothing wrong. In a statement, spokesman Brian Fallon said no one “has ever produced a shred of evidence supporting the theory that Hillary Clinton ever took action as Secretary of State to support the interests of donors to the Clinton Foundation.”

A late day submission to DC Circuit Court in a FOIA case reveals the content of previously
unknown James Comey memos. Obama’s entire anti-Trump operation is memorialized in writing:

<><> how Obama’s FBI Director James Comey wrote down the sources and code-names assigned;
<><> how confidential sources engaged with FISA coverage initiated by Obama’s FBI;
<><> names foreign governments assisting Obama and Hillary with their vile efforts;
<><> and the rollout plans for Obama’s phony investigation.....”by the book.”

During the campaign Hillary bragged about “foreign governments” supporting her election.

Are these the same “foreign governments” Comey had assisting their efforts to frame Trump? (smirk)

That would mean Obama and Hillary were colluding with
foreign governments to meddle in our elections, wouldnt it Donald?

***President-elect Donald Trump ... “I don’t want to hurt the Clintons, I really don’t,’’ he told The New York Times. “She went through a lot and suffered greatly in many different ways, and I am not looking to hurt them at all***

DJT has paid dearly for that bit of misdirected compassion! I believe if God was not on his side he would either be buried or on Devil's Island with Papillon. Perhaps America can now see that we face an all-or-nothing vicious cabal who believes the end justifies the means.

Anyone who believes that has probably also invested heavily in the Brooklyn bridge.

Australian News astutely reported: what does Australia gain from topping up the Clinton coffers to the tune of $25 million as “the single biggest foreign government source of funds for the Clinton Foundation.” AND THIS: Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop’s press release dated September 22, 2014, committed to five years of support for yet another Clinton money-maker...... the Clinton Health Access Initiative,(CHAI) sister organisation to the Clinton Foundation. Bishop's statement is shocking: “Since 2006, Australia has contributed $88 million to CHAI,” the statement read.

Many questions remain unanswered about the agreement between Australia and The Clinton Foundation and the enormous exchange of money. “It’s not clear why Canberra had to go through an American foundation to deliver aid to Asian countries (including Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Vietnam).”

(In truth, an incisive question that could be asked of all the foreign government donors to the Clintons.)

PONDER THIS---Remember Billy's "pass-through account." Money rec'd in the AM went out by PM and no record of a transaction. Money could have gone anywhere....hedge fund, another foundation, an offshore bank......a numbered account in Switzerland (when they still used them)......

NOTES We learned a lot from Madoff. When he went to jail, investigators found Ponzi King Bernie Madoff had stashed billions offshore---into a labyrinth of financial entities. Some $8.9 billion was funneled to Madoff through a dozen so-called feeder funds based in Europe, the Caribbean and Central America......a labyrinth of hedge funds, management companies and service providers that, to unsuspecting outsiders, seemed to compose a formidable system of checks and balances.

Although he was jailed for running a Ponzi, Madoff's main purpose was helping billionaire foundations launder money and evade taxes

A Berlin court ordered Germany’s far-right party to retract a false accusation that the country's environment ministry gave money to Hillary Clinton during her 2016 presidential campaign. Georg Pazderski, leader of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AFD) party, was ordered to scrub its website of the accusation and issue a correction stating that the German ministry "paid no money whatsoever to support the Hillary's election campaign,”Deutsche Welle news reported.

Pazderski and his party claimed that millions that Germany’s Federal Environment Ministry donated to the Clinton Foundation’s climate initiatives in Africa were really funneled into Clinton’s campaign.

The Clinton Foundation was (cough) funding projects in Africa as part of the International Climate Initiative, the newspaper reported. Germany’s Federal Environment Ministry first began donating to the initiative in 2013 — years before Clinton kicked off her race for the White House. The court ruled that the false accusations recklessly jeopardized “public confidence" in the federal ministry by making the claim that a German agency had intervened in the U.S. election. The populist AFD first made the
accusation in a November 2016 press release that Pazderski wrote, Deutsche Well noted.

The environmental ministry won a court battle against AFD weeks after the claim went up but the now the group will have to issue a retraction.

HAT TIP PEPSIONICE About 60 days prior to the 2016 election....the Ministry of the Environment in Germany shuffled four-million Euro (5-million dollars)
to the Clinton Foundation....but they didn’t admit this to the German public for about four months (late Nov 2016).
The hefty donation was simply to get a seat at the table after Hillary’s win, and the Ministry intended to have a ‘big’ seat.....
NOTE one journalist casually mentioned that around 5-10 % of the do-good Foundation money goes to actual charity work....
the rest goes to (cough) operational costs.
