... Media Matters for America accused Mr. Dilanian of repeatedly misgendering Ms. Manning by using he/him pronouns during two broadcasts covering the arrest of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange on Thursday.
According to clips posted by Media Matters and Mediaite, Mr. Dilanian indeed used he and him when referring to Ms. Manning on MSNBC Live with Stephanie Ruhle and MSNBC Live with Hallie Jackson.
... Chelsea Manning was an Army private stationed in Iraq, he was downloading hundreds of thousands of top-secret U.S. government files from the military and from the State Department, and he was sending them to Assange and WikiLeaks to make public, Mr. Dilanian said later.
Media Matters, a left-wing nonprofit, says misgendering trans people is a tactic used by right-wing media and extreme anti-LGBTQ groups to invalidate trans identities.
The act has been described as completely draining to a trans persons mental health, and it can trigger anxiety, depression and gender dysphoria, Media Matters said in its reporting on Mr. Dilanians comments.

I don’t mind calling him ‘Chelsea’, as people do have a right to legally change their name. That doesn’t mean I have to play along with his delusions. Just because he has mental issues, does not mean we do.
Yes, biological sex deniers is totally accurate.
Trans-dragon? Did you watch Game of Thrones last night?
Is not “CIS” a transgender delusion?
The term Consistently Identified (with their) Sex (CIS) certainly has its origin in the LGBT activist community and, as you probably know, simply means heterosexual. I think it may actually predate slightly the current surge by transsexual activists but it certainly was crafted to take the existence of transsexuals into account.
I chose to use it (as opposed to heterosexual male/female) as I was trying to imitate/satirize the fine grained parsing of sex and gender terminology that the LGBTqrsxyz)community is perpetually obsessed with.
Not a GOT fan. I've been using that metaphor for months. The party of fake science needs to be put in its place.
Transgender?
There isn’t such a thing. Package or not, his genes tell the truth.
Consistently identified (with their) sex? Prior to Bruce Jenner, who ever did not?

The above entry in Wikipedia traces use of Cis in relationship to transsexual issues to the 1990s. Although I learned the meaning of the acronym years ago as I gave it in my posting, the prefix Cis has its origin in Latin (”the same side of”) and has usage going back to Roman times (although not in reference to transsexuals).
As for when I first encountered the whole transsexual “thing,” I would have to say it was during the 1970s, when I found out (in a Playboy magazine interview, IIRC) that Walter Carlos, the early pioneer in electronic music on the Moog synthesizer (”Switched-on Bach” was his premier album), had been hormonally (and later surgically) converted to Wendy Carlos.

Unless Brad was able to change out his XY chromosomes, he is a dude. Putting on a dress and taking hormones doesn’t change that.
Bradley Manning is a mutilated male. Pretending otherwise is delusional and ridiculous.
