Gayle King’s deal negotiations at CBS are taking so long that staff now fear there’s not enough money to keep her.
The star is working on a new deal to stay on “CBS This Morning.”
As we revealed, she is in talks to double her current $5.5 million annual salary.
And while the contract was expected to be wrapped up earlier this month, it’s still not done. A high-level source told Page Six: “It’s not like CBS News can all of a sudden find ABC or NBC money — it has to come from somewhere.”

I had to read the article to see who she was.
Her main claim to fame is that she’s Oprah’s best friend.
I’m not even gonna read to find out.
Haven’t watched network tv in years.
Not in some holier than thou protest.
It just sucks and there’s other venues now.
Either way i end up contributing to liberal companies and it sucks.
Watched NFL until last year and AGAIN not because of some holier than thou stance.
THEY JUST KILLED my interest in it with every move they made.

The network may secretly wish to get rid of Gayle, but without the obligatory Race Card being played when it happens. One way to imply that they are ‘willing’ to let her quit is too offer her a low ball amount and refuse to inflate that salary any further. She may be playing the hard to get game a bit too much. Networks still stung by the Megyn Kelly $26. Million Dollar mess. I think CBS is the same station.
since i haven’t watched the dying lying leftist fake stream enemedia TV “news” for decades, i have no idea who Gayle King is ... i assume she must be a black woman since they want to keep her so badly ... i also assume she spends most of her time lying about Trump ...
Best thing for us if CBS throws a huge amount of their limited money on fiascos like this.
i also cheer megan kelley for ripping whatever network that was for 10s of millions. Leave them less money for their propaganda and smear operation.

About Gayle... I was surprised that someone could be important enough to hold up CBS on salary, while I had no idea who she was, nor could I recognize her without a picture. She lives in, and speaks to, an entirely different world than the one we inhabit.
Usually, when some self important lefty hack makes the news, I have some name recognition. Not here.

These people like King are not worth multi-million dollar contracts. They have no special skills or knowledge. At best, they are pretty faces & amiable personalities on air. There are millions of people like that who could do the job for far less money. The entire industry is over paid & coddled.

I can’t remember the last time I bothered to watch a morning news show. Mind you, back in the ‘80s and early ‘90s I had that bit of a thing for Joan Lunden on “Good Morning America”, lol.
You should need a backhoe to dig through the urine swamp to get to Crankcase’s corpse.
Don’t see how these talking heads are worth any more than minimum wage. They have no skills worth mentioning, and no independent following that they bring to the table. Anybody can read propaganda off a teleprompter.
