Democrats in New York killed a proposal for tuition assistance for children of veterans killed in battle and instead approved a bill to give illegals free tuition.
The New York Republican Party slammed the Democrats on Twitter saying, “Democrats just rejected tuition assistance for Gold Star families but approved it for illegal immigrants. Would these Democrats dare to look into the eyes of the children of fallen servicemen and women and say they matter less than those here illegally?”
Empire State Democrats quashed a bill on Tuesday that would have provided free tuition for Gold Star families that had lost a child killed in the line of duty in service to the country.
“The Assembly’s Higher Education Committee voted 15 to 11 to hold the bipartisan bill, effectively ending its chances of making it to a floor vote this session,” according to Syracuse.com.
But the move comes only a week after the same legislature passed a $175 billion state budget that contained $27 million to give free tuition to illegal aliens.

We live in upside-down world.
It’s all good G. New York state is losing people in droves. When the next census rolls around, they’re going to lose 2-3 House seats and in turn that means less federal handouts to them. And then they’ll raise their taxes as a result. Which means more people will leave and the cycle will repeat itself.

If a kid were smart, he’d come up with a fake name, fake Honduran passport, and portray himself as being an illegal in NY state. He’d get all this ‘help’. Then at the end, with the degree in his hand, go and do a name-change through the same state back to his original name.

Let me add a hearty amen to that.
We need dedicated trains to take all of the illegals we find on the border and dump them into the middle of NYC. Before we leave then there we need to warn them that they will be arrested and jailed if they leave the state of New York.
i did the same thing in 1996 to apply to the University of Houston business school as an african american... I got accepted and then rejected when they saw my picture.
So lame... I was the wrong color.
What if you did the same thing today...apply, and then have in your hand a DNA-slip that showed you were 20-percent African? Because of a relative in the 1850s...I’m .8-percent Congonelse. I should be able to self-identify as such, if I wanted to make a point.
