Loved it. The Rats confuse reason and facts with feelings and emotion.

Massie was mocking Kerry who knew exactly what was happening. As someone who has dealt with Kerry personally on CODELs overseas, you cannot find a more condescending, arrogant, rude bastard if you tried. He is so full of himself, it defies description.

And as a Vietnam veteran and former naval officer myself, I have many reasons to despise this traitorous bastard. I enjoyed every moment of the Massie put down. I just wished he had more time.

But, but, but Kerry had spent 92 days in Vietnam getting those medals for his career in politics!

(And that includes leave, indoctrination, and traveling out time!)

Bingo. It's a political movement (Man made global warming, or whatever they are calling it now), not scientific fact. I actually believe climate change is and has been happening from the day the earth was formed. But when you try to become wealthy by taxing the weather and transferring wealth using a natural climate shift I have to draw the line.

A congressman did it.

If they did a remake of “M.A.S.H” Kerry could fill the role of Charles Emerson Winchester III

____________

except the character Winchester was bright enough to get a science degree.

In the big scheme of things, content of character means way more than wealth. I would have married her if she was dirt poor. Time tells me I did the right thing 30 years ago.

Whatever it was, it was enough to get him a commission in the USN.

Well, hell, I knew some of them doofus's that got commissioned with degrees in Basket Weaving.

All it takes is a degree in something, and Kerry has shown that it sure as hell doesn't do much for his competence, regardless of what it was, other than lying and grandstanding.

Which, come to think of it, is what a heck of lot of them shavetails were good at, until the real world caught up with them and they were forced out...as it should have been.

"It is a pseudo science"

It is a social science, as opposed to a hard science. Other social sciences are economics, psychology, sociology.

Kerry also has a JD degree which is equivalent to masters degree, and he passed a bar exam, and worked as a prosecuting attorney

And that makes him a climate change authority?

He has never claimed to be an authority on climate change.

What he has claimed is that he has used his political skills and foreign policy skills for environmental purposes. Of course he was involved the COP 21 agreement in Paris, but he was also very influential in the international agreement on the Marine Reserve in the Ross Sea.

JD? How much time do you suppose he spent learning about thermodynamics? The JD doesn’t qualify him any more than the BA in PoliSci did to understand climate, which is what he was supposed to be prattling about at that hearing. My opinion is probably more valid than his is.

Social “science” is pretty much the same thing as pseudoscience.

None of what you say is relevant.

What is relevant is the fact that renewable energy and batteries continue to fall in price.

There is nothing you can do to stop it.

Who wants to stop the development of renewable energy? Are you f’ing nuts?

Let the marketplace determine how and where we get our energy. What we don’t need is the government picking winners and losers. Nor do we need carbon credits and other artificial interventions. Man cannot control the climate. We should be spending our money and time adapting to climate change and the ever changing cycles.

No, the relevant fact is that John F’ing Kerry is in no way more qualified than any random person off the street to testify about Climate Change. I think that was pretty much Massie’s point. I don’t much care about green energy. Good for you if you do. I do know that if renewable energy was affordable and practical the gubmint wouldn’t have to subsidize it. I couldn’t care less what people do with their own money. I just don’t want my taxes used to subsidize bird cuisinarts or Tesla toys for trendys.
