THE ONLY way one can manage an assault by such people, and there are many even here at FR is to not engage them. Ignore their approach as they are only trying to create an engagement for the purpose of causing their chosen opponent ridicule.
Pence must simply dismiss the clown without engagement, but as he has already been suckered into the engagement by Butt Gig, he must now ignore any further attempts at engagement, as well ignore what has occurred to date. It will blow (forgive the pun) over as most Democrats have proven over time.
