RUSH: Folks, this is great. This is very, very good. It was only yesterday right here on this program we were discussing the testimony at the time of the attorney general, William Barr, before a bunch of these inflated ego congressional committees. And Mr. Snerdley asked me a question: Do you think there will ever actually be an investigation into what happened, into who did this, who was behind this coup to get rid of a president, overturn the presidential elections, and do you think that we will ever see results from it?
And I paused, and I said to Mr. Snerdley, I do. I think this attorney general, William Barr, is the guy whos going to do it. I think thats why hes there. And I reminded everybody of the memo that Barr wrote in the middle of the investigation saying that this whole claim that Trump had obstructed, because he fired Comey, was literally baseless.
Less than 24 hours after making those comments the attorney general William Barr has confirmed that he believed the Trump campaign was spied on at least as far back as 2016 and that he has convened, or will convene, an investigation into it. He said that he doesnt think its the entire FBI that was involved, just some individuals. Well, he knows what went on, this is the bottom line here. He knows. He knows what we know.
Remember, my friends, when Trump said long ago that his wires were tapped at Trump Tower, remember how everybody started mocking Trump and laughing at him? It turns out Trump was right. And shortly after Trump made those comments, they moved the campaign headquarters out of Trump Tower after a tip that the National Security Agency head, Mike Rogers, gave Trump. Mike Rogers at the NSA has never been part of the cabal. Hes never been part of the FBI intelligence community attempt to get rid of Trump. Hes always stood in the way of it.
As such, that cabal tried to leave Mike Rogers out of the loop. Brennan didnt want Mike Rogers to know what they were doing or was going on. It was shortly after that Mike Rogers gave Trump a tip about the possibility. They packed everything up and moved the essence of the campaign out of Trump Tower when all of this happened.
So this is in the early stages, but, folks, this is something I was confident was gonna happen when Barr was confirmed, some of the things that had said up til today. But he let it out today. He was asked point-blank if he thinks there was spying on the campaign. He paused, and he was looking for the right way to say it. He said, no, Senator, there was spying. There was spying.
He knows there was spying. He knows who the spies were. He knows the informants that were implanted into the Trump campaign. The reason this is important, obviously just the idea of getting to the truth, is that the inspector general looking into the FISA abuse can only talk to people who were there at the moment. He cant talk to people who are not there who have been fired or who have resigned. Well, many of the people involved in the FISA abuse are gone and may not even be reachable by the inspector general, so this will pick up the slack.
Lets go to the audio sound bites and oh. One thing. Grab sound bite number 26 first. This is a point that I raised several times during the course of this program throughout our constant discussions of this silent coup. Remember when we first got wind of the FBI placing informants in the Trump campaign, Stefan Halper, I remember he was interviewed by Sam Clovis, by the way. Sam Clovis interviewed Halper.
Halper tried to get hired on the Trump foreign policy team. And the way Halper did it, he used to work for Bush 41 and he used to work for Reagan and he tried to leverage that experience. Thank goodness Sam Clovis didnt hire him. But what was supposed to happen, Halper was supposed to get hired, hes already reporting to the FBI, hes working for the FBI as an informant, he would later then be used with the Papadopoulos sting, if you will.
And what was gonna happen was that Halper was gonna then join the Trump foreign policy team. And guess what he was gonna do? He was gonna start talking to Russians. And they were going to create the collusion. They attempted to create the collusion when they couldnt find any.
Thats how close we came, its how despicable this was. And when it was finally revealed, and the FBI themselves admitted that they suspected remember Comey, Clapper and these guys were all on television saying they suspected that the Russians had hooks into the Trump campaign, and people started asking, Did you tell the Trump campaign about this?
Well, uh, no, we, uh, we.
Why not? If you think one of the two presidential campaigns has been infested with a bunch of spies from Russia, why the hell wouldnt you tell them? Well, the answer is obvious: Because they implanted the spies and they were hoping to entrap some people into engaging in conspiratorial collusion and so forth.
And this is the question that Barr raised today. The Drive-Bys, by the way, are beside themselves because they were in on this. You ought to see the solemn faces at MSNBC, CNN today reporting this. Because what the Drive-Bys are gonna have to do now, as this investigation gets underway, theyre gonna have to portray themselves as duped. But they werent duped by anybody. They were active participants in this whole scam.
But you can see the solemn look on their faces this investigation will turn up. Theyre gonna have to pretend and portray themselves as, Hey, we trusted our sources. Our sources were telling us there was collusion. And they know full well there wasnt. They were active participants in this whole scam for this entire hoax.
This happened just a few minutes ago. Barr hilariously Brian Schatz, whos the Democrat from Hawaii, told Barr after Barr had said, I think there was spying. I think the Trump campaign was spied on. I have no doubt the Trump campaign was spied on.
So this guy Brian Schatz, Democrat, Hawaii, told Barr that he wanted to give him another chance to rephrase what he had said earlier about spying. In other words, Attorney General Barr, you didnt really mean to say that you think there was spying on the Trump campaign, and Im gonna give you a chance here to rephrase what you said.
Schatz said that Barrs comment was gonna make the cable news ecosystem go crazy. Thats what hes thinking about? The cable news ecosystems gonna go crazy because Barrs saying he thinks the Trump campaign was spied on? Barr simply replied that he meant surveillance.
He asked Schatz if that made him feel any better. (laughing) How about if I say surveillance instead of spying? That make you feel better, Senator, that make you feel better, Congressman? It was comedy gold and Schatz didnt even realize it. These people are so stiff and they are so serious, they have no sense of humor whatsoever.
And Barr was saying, Okay. You dont like spy? How about they were surveilling the Trump campaign? Does that make you feel better? Lets just start with 26. This is the most recent, relevant bite. Question from Senator Lindsey Grahamnesty. Would it be odd, Attorney General Barr, that the candidate [meaning Trump] was never really briefed by the Department of Justice, that his campaign may have been targeted by a foreign entity?
BARR: That is one of the questions I have is, I feel normally the campaign would have been advised of this. Im interested in getting that answer. They had two former U.S. attorneys in Chris Christie and Rudy Giuliani involved in the campaign, and I dont understand why the campaign was not advised.
Dem Senator presses Barr over spying in the 2016 election
RUSH: Bingo! Big time key, because the Russians doing the targeting were FBI plants. Thats why. But hes raising a logical question. Well, he knows what went on here. We all know what went on. Everybody knows now that everybody knows what went on, and Im telling you there are quaking in the boots in the homes of Comey and Clapper and Brennan and McCabe and Priestap and Baker and Strzok and Page, because now its out.
Barr has known all along. We finally got the guy who is gonna dig into this because, as I said yesterday in response to Snerdleys question, this guy cares about the judicial system, that there be one tier in our system of justice, not two or more, that it be equal and applied to everybody. He understands the importance of the rule of law. He understands exactly what happened here, as we all do. This is just the first time it has been officially stated.
By the way, Trump today on the White House lawn on the way to the helicopter on the way to Air Force One to go to a speech in San Antonio, started talking about this as a coup! He called it a scam. He called it illegal. He called it a coup. Both barrels are being fired from both sides of Washington today at this cabal that ran this operation. This is a legitimate question here. If youre spying, if you think the Russians are spying on the Trump campaign, why not tell them?
Why not tell the Trump campaign? For crying out loud, everybodys running around talking about what a serious thing this is. Why, Trump was colluding with the Russians! Holy smokes. We cant put up with that. This is unprecedented. Well, if you think thats going on, why didnt you advise them? Thatd be the right thing to do if you think a presidential campaigns being targeted by the Russians. Well, thats not at all what they were setting up.
They wanted to set up that Trump was aware of it and was exploiting it, for which there was never any evidence, as I say over and over. Okay. To the top of the audio sound bites. Jeanne Shaheen, senator, Democrat, New Hampshire, says to the attorney general, Can you share with us why you feel the need to do that investigation into the origins of this investigation? Thats whats got all this started is that Barr told these people hes gonna look into how this happened.
He said, Look. Ive read the report. Theres nothing in it. Theres no collusion. There isnt any obstruction in it. There was no reason for this. And were gonna do an investigation into how the hell this got started and when. And so Shaheen is saying (impression), Can you share with us why you feel the need to do that investigation into origins of this investigation?
BARR: I think spying on a political campaign is a big deal. Its a big deal. The generation I grew up in, which is the Vietnam War period, you know, people were all concerned about spying on anti-war people and so forth by the government. And there were a lot of rules put in place to make sure that theres an adequate basis before our law enforcement agencies get involved in political surveillance. Im not suggesting that those rules were violated, but I think its important to look at that.
RUSH: So she says (impression) So youre not suggesting Youre not suggesting that spying occurred. Oh, you wouldnt possibly be asserting to us here that spying occurred. I mean, youre not really saying that, right? Youre not saying that the Clinton campaign spied on the Trump campaign? Youre not saying that members of the Obama administration actually deigned to spy on the Trump campaign? Youre not saying any of that actually went on, are you?
BARR: I think spying did occur, yes. I think spying did occur.
SHAHEEN: Well, let me
BARR: The question is whether it was predicated, adequately predicated, and Im not suggesting it wasnt adequately predicated, but I need to explore that. I think its my obligation. Im reviewing this. I havent set up a team yet, but I have in mind having some colleagues help me pull all this information together and let me know whether theres some areas that should be looked at. I feel I have an obligation to make sure that government power is not abused. I mean, I think thats one of the principal roles of the attorney general.
RUSH: All right. So there he was throwing them a bone and then trying to get em to stay outside, rather than poke their nose in the kitchen. This is very good. Well, what do you mean? Okay, Ill explain this. She goes on. She says (paraphrased), Youre not suggesting that spying occurred. Youre not suggesting the Obama administration spied on Trump. Youre not suggesting that Hillary spied. Youre not suggesting any of that, right? Youre not suggesting that anybody? Oh, yeah, yeah, I am. Spying did occur.
Sledgehammer hitting head of Jeanne Shaheen and other Democrats. So, realizing what hes just done Barr said, But wait. The question is whether it was predicated. Meaning, the question is whether it was warranted. Ohhhh, okay! So youre gonna look into spying, but you hope to find that maybe there was a reason for the FBI to spy on Trump, and maybe there was a reason for Obama to spy on Trump, and maybe there was a reason for Hillary to spy on Trump. Thats what hes telling them here.
Oh, yeah, there was spying. Theres no question. The question is whether it was predicated, meaning whether it was warranted, and Im not suggesting it wasnt adequately predicated. Im going to explore that. So he throws em the bone, keeps em out in the backyard chasing the bone instead of coming in the kitchen chasing him. Brilliantly done here. Brilliantly done. But they werent finished. Here is Senator Pat Leaky Leahy, also nicknamed Depends, querying the attorney general.
Did you have any conversations with the special counsel about why he did not reach a conclusion one way or the other on obstruction ? I should set this up. These people remain convinced that theres collusion, the Democrats. They remain convinced that there was obstruction. They remain convinced that Barr is lying.
They remain convinced that somebodys got Mueller tied up in a room with only bread and water. They are convinced that Mueller is desperately trying to get the truth out but that Barr has him stowed away in some safe house, rewriting everything that Mueller did. So here comes Leahy getting to the truth. Did you have any conversations with Mueller about why he didnt reach a conclusion one way or the other on obstruction?
BARR: Yes, I did. And he also has a fuller explanation of that in the report that Ill be making available, hopefully next week.
LEAHY: Did he express any expectation or interest in leaving the obstruction decision to aggression?
BARR: Not that He didnt say that to me, no.
LEAHY: So he said the obstruction decision should be up to you?
BARR: He didnt say that, either. But thats generally how the Department of Justice works. A prosecutors role at the end of the day is binary: Are there charges or no charges, or is this a crime or not a crime?
RUSH: Well, here one more. You gotta hear the next. Play audio sound bite number 4.
LEAHY: Have you overruled Mr. Mueller or his team on any redaction question?
BARR: No.
LEAHY: One way or the other?
BARR: No.
LEAHY: K. Have you discussed any specific redactions with the White House?
BARR: No.
RUSH: The next sound you hear is that of the Coyote going off the cliff, having his Acme bomb fall right on the top of his head.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Attorney General Barr turned it upside down today, turned everything on its head. So the whole things now shifting from Trump and away from Trump toward the conspirators. It was really great today. Lindsey Graham brought up Senator Feinstein and how the FBI warned her when she had a ChiCom spy on her staff for 20 years. Remember that? She had a spy. Her driver and who knows what other else was spying for the ChiComs on her staff for 20 years.
Fox cut to Feinstein and a staffer jumped up to whisper in her ear. He was probably telling her which ChiCom spy Graham was talking about. Now, imagine Senator Jeanne Shaheens question. Stop and think about her question for a second. She really asked the attorney general of the United States she really asked him why he felt the need to investigate when the FBI apparently used phony information to get a FISA warrant to spy on a political campaign.
Now, you can bet Ms. Shaheen never once questioned the need to investigate Trump for colluding with Russians. That made total sense to her. She never once thought about asking anybody why they were doing that. But now when somebody wants to get the bottom of the investigation, Why do you feel the need to investigate the investigation? And then Senator Leahy, Has the White House told you about whats redacted? Have you discussed any of this with Trump? No. No. And the special counsels all aboard with me here, Senator.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Have sound bite number 24 standing by.
I want to play sound bite number 4 again, but I had to squeeze it in in a precious few amount of busy broadcast seconds. And it really is important. The Democrats it may sound funny, and I guess it is, but they still, and the media and, by the way, MSNBC and CNN are continuing to hemorrhage audience. New ratings for last week, the hemorrhaging that began the week before continued last week. Its not pretty. Their audiences require fake news. They cannot deal with facts or reality.
They have to get fake news so theyre looking for narratives to get the audiences back. And one of the narratives is that Barrs lying. Theyre hiding the truth. That essentially Robert Mueller has been kidnapped. Hes tied up in an isolated room in a distant Washington safe house, nothing but a pale of water to urinate in and a loaf of bread to eat, and hes being tortured until he admits to go public with the idea that he found no collusion and no obstruction.
I mean, its a bit of an exaggeration, but they remain convinced that collusion was found but Barr, the handpicked attorney general, like every other presidential appointee is handpicked, is somehow messing with the truth. Just like in their world, exit polls should count more than actual votes.
So heres Leahy giving it one last college try. (paraphrasing) Have you overruled Mueller or his team on any redaction question?
Uh, nope. See, theyre convinced that Barrs in there redacting all kinds of stuff and that Muellers objecting, but they got Mueller tied up in the basement of the safe house with Wile E. Coyote so he cant do anything about it.
So Barr says, Nope. Muellers not overruled me at all.
Not one way or the other?
No. No. Not at all.
Leahy: Well, damn. Okay. Well, how about this, Mr. Attorney General. Have you discussed any specific redactions with the White House? Meaning, Is Trump redacting this thing? Is that whats really going on, youve let Trump see it?
Uh, no. No, uh, the special counsel is not tied up in the basement of a safe house with a pale to urinate in or a loaf of bread. Hes working with me on these redactions. We dont have any disagreements about anything so far. And the president doesnt even know whats in it yet.
Folks, this is why you never give up. This is why you never let forlorn despondency take over. And were not there yet. There still has to be the actual investigation. Right now were told theres going to be. And Barr, he knows what went on. Gotta follow through on it. Oh, grab sound bite 27. You have to hear this too. I referenced this, but I want you to hear it.
The Senate Appropriations Committee, Senator Brian Schatz, Democrat from Hawaii, he is convinced that Barr didnt mean to say that he thinks that the Trump campaign was spied on. He misspoke.
AG Barr faces second day of grilling on Capitol Hill
So Senator Schatz is going to graciously give Barr a second chance, a second stab at this, is gonna give him a chance to revise and extend his remarks. Hes gonna give him a chance to take it back, is gonna give him a chance to say, Youre right, Senator. I didnt mean to say that I thought the Trump campaign was being spied on. Heres how that exchange went.
SCHATZ: Do you want to rephrase what youre doing, uh, because I think the word spying could cause everybody in the cable news ecosystem to freak out, and I think its necessary for you to be precise with your language here. You normally are, and I want to give you a chance to be especially precise here.
BARR: Im not sure of all the connotations of that word that youre referring to, but unauthorized surveillance. I want to make sure there was no unauthorized surveillance. Is that more appropriate in your mind?
SCHATZ: I this is your call. I really did want to give you a chance to say it how you wanted to say it and make sure that you didnt misspeak.
RUSH: (imitating Barr and Schatz) Yeah, we know you really didnt mean that you think there was spying going on out there. Oh, the hell I didnt, I damn well did. If you want to call it surveillance, unauthorized surveillance, fine. Whatever you want. Im telling you spying happened.
And this chance now that its gonna cause everybody in the cable news ecosystem to freak out, damn right it is, because they were willing participants in this whole hoax, scandal, what have you. And any investigation that is worth its salt is going to reveal media complicity here. Its going to reveal it. Their only hope is to say they were duped, they trusted their sources, there were multiple sources, and we always knew Trump was a reprobate, so this stuff sounded true to us.

I love how Fox News Propaganda Radio described it... “Bill Barr will investigate what HE calls ‘spying’...” with an upward bend to that final word, as if to suggest it’s the most absurd possibility in the world.
But, yeah... they’re not in somebody’s pocket. Uh, huh.
The 2nd level cover up is it is about hatred of Trump, it certainly has the possibility of uncovering the complete theft of American fund, through kickbacks etc, its always money..politics keeps the investigation out of the money is said to be gained by Comey and Mule head
So how many of our supposedly wonderful allies, like Britain and its colonial 3 step daughters, werelec up to their belly buttons spying on candidate Trump, President Elect Trump and even President Trump? Foreign intervention/interference in our national election by former allies.
Was anybody monitoring Mexico, and its 24/7 involvement to prevent Trump from being our President?
For decades, Mexico has been meddling in our elections from our main streets across America, to county seats and state capitols.
Last, but not least how many Congressits have gotten paid by Mexico for many years?
Paid to open our gates to Mexico’s poor to come to America for money, food, education, housing and medical care. DC and Mexico have been $crewing the poor American citizens for decades.
I listened to Rush today, and it was inspiring. Maybe, just maybe ... there will ultimately be justice - at least some justice - at last.
So how many of our supposedly wonderful allies, like Britain and its colonial 3 step daughters, were up to their belly buttons spying on candidate Trump, President Elect Trump and even President Trump?
Under Obama, Brennan and Clapper, Foreign intervention/interference was rampant in our 2016 national election by our so called former allies.
Paid to open our borders to Mexico's poor to come to America for money, food, education, housing, medical care, and ??????????!
DC and Mexico have been $crewing the poor American citizens for decades.
I sure hope so, but sadly, I'm afraid Charlie Brown's football will be jerked away yet again.
The entire anti-Trump operation is memorialized in writing:
<><> how Obama's FBI Director James Comey wrote down the sources and code-names assigned;
<><> how confidential sources engaged with FISA coverage initiated by the FBI;
<><> what foreign governments were assisting with their efforts;
<><> and their plans for the phony investigation.
Just wondering:
During the campaign Hillary bragged about "foreign governments" supporting her election.
Are these the same "foreign governments" Comey had assisting their efforts to frame Trump? (smirk)
Inquiring minds want to know.

Lynch Testimony Reveals Bias and Intent For Failing To Give Trump Defensive Briefing
saraacarter.com ^ | 3/13/2019 | Sara A. Carter / FR Posted by bitt
Pres Trumps campaign was never given a defensive briefing by the FBI, despite mounting concerns that Russians were allegedly trying to penetrate the campaign during the 2016 presidential election.
In testimony provided by Obama's AG Loretta Lynch, along with others, it is the key finding that wont bode well for the FBI and DOJ. It also raises significant questions regarding the treatment of Hillary Clintons campaign and whether she ever received defensive briefings in detail from the bureau. Lynchs testimony is still not public but has been reviewed by SaraACarter.com.
"I WAS CERTAINLY AWARE THAT IT WAS AN OPTION, BUT I DONT KNOW
WHAT, IF ANYTHING, EVER HAPPENED TO THAT OPTION," SAID LYNCH.
The "defensive briefing" is a time-honored procedure that is often given to presidential candidates, elected officials and even U.S. businesses that have either been unwittingly approached by foreign actors attempting to gain trust and befriend those in position of influence.
The briefing allows the government to protect the candidates, specifically if there is substantial information or knowledge to suggest that someone has targeted an unwitting American for information. If the FBI or intelligence agencies suspect foreign adversaries may be trying to penetrate a presidential campaign, as those FBI and DOJ sources suggested in testimony to lawmakers, it would then be required to warn those affected, a senior former intelligence official told ..
