If I hadn't seen the video of Rep. Ilhan Omar's speech at a Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) event. I wouldn't have believed an American said this.
“CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something, and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties,” Omar said.
Omar made these remarks last month, which begs the question: How her words had escaped notice for so long? The video first appeared on Twitter earlier this week.
Her description of American Muslims being "second-class citizens" and how Muslims were "starting to lose access to our civil liberties" following 9/11 were equally idiotic. How are they second-class citizens? Who is taking away access to their civil liberties? These are straw man arguments used by those who wish to portray American Muslims as the real victims of 9/11.

Omar’s remarks are no more misleading than what George W. Bush said right after 9/11: “Islam is peace.”
This cretin should be arrested and have her citizenship taken...then deported. Among other things, she married her brother in order to illegally get him into this country. What a criminal waste.

Seems to be a time honored tradition in the family...She couldn’t bring herself to say that the MUSLIM terrorist attack in NYC and Washington, DC, and PA in 2001 was the wakeup call for Americans - REAL Americans.
Wikipedia has her coming to the USA in 1992 - born in 1981 making her 11 years old. She became a citizen in 2000 at the age of 17???? Someone needs to review their math.. I believe there’s an age requirement to becoming a citizen of the United States - 18 years of age! So either way - right or wrong dates, she managed to become familiar with our Constitution, answer all the questions correctly on the citizenship exam at the age of 17 or 18 or 19?
I thought maybe we were going to get through a day without reference to this pig. Wonder why the other one has been silent in the past few days. Not complaining but I just don’t trust a single one of them..
Be a shame if she tripped and fell face first into the curb.
And CAIR was founded in 1994, seven years before 9/11.
