Chicago prosecutor Kim Foxx played the race card to salvage what remains of her career after she inexplicably protected Jussie Smollett for playing the race card.
What does Foxx keep after playing the race card?
Her fake integrity?
As many know, Foxx developed epic conflicts of interest for having private communications with the Smollett family and with Tina Tchen, the former chief of staff of Michelle Obama.
The Kim Foxx saga is now half farce, half film noir, like an Elmore Leonard novel about Hollywood hustlers and race, with some Tom Wolfe thrown in.
Foxx didn't go to just anybody to play that card. She went to old-time race card hustlers... like U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush, the South Side Democratic congressman who won re-election years ago by fending off a young African-American lawyer named Barack Obama.
Rush's message: Obama wasn't black enough.
Foxx also sought the embrace of the Rev. Jesse Jackson, who loathed Budweiser until, as if by coincidence, his son received a lucrative beer distributorship.
Jackson's political star was eclipsed years ago by the late Mayor Harold Washington. Jackson became famously and angrily upset with the election of Obama.
[Foxx] appeared at Rainbow/PUSH and made it clear she is the victim of her own Smollett fiasco. The reason is simple: she's black.
I get it, so this isn't about you losing your senses and chatting with Obama celebrity friends, and later, weirdly cutting Smollett loose even though your office got a 16-count indictment from a grand jury for faking a hate crime?
"The FOP is the sworn enemy of black people," said Rush.
"Let's be clear, Kim Foxx, her battle, is with the FOP."
Kim Foxx said nothing. And by her silence she demonstrated consent.
This isn't about policy. This is raw racial politics.

This is so crazy to me.
Many key people involved are black. She’s black. Jussie is black. The chief of police of Chicago is black. The incoming mayor is black. Where exactly is the white racism against blacks in this situation?
Yeah, but one of the people she let get out from under a murder sentence killed a 16 yo A-A, and the kid’s parents aren’t being quiet about it.
She’s a piece of crap. Using her POWER to subvert the law in favor of one group over another. This is a crime.

IMHO, the Smollett story is more like a Road Runner cartoon. Kim is about to go over the cliff.
I doubt demographics will be doing any of these people any good going forward especially if they lapse into Blacker than Black and blackety, blackety black politics.

They have been lead to “believe” unfortunately,” that “because of Slavery, and other subsequent injustices,” that they have the “right” to be”absolved of any guilt” associated with respect to crimes presently committed as some sort of “reparation.” A skin color-related get out of jail free card!
“Ms. Foxx speaks at a Rainbow PUSH coalition meeting and states she cannot run an office “driven by anger and public sentiment.” She says “the goal posts change” when an African-American takes the position of head prosecutor, seemingly calling the critique of the SAO’s handling of the Smollett case racially-based and derogatory toward her people. This, while Jamal Green stands on the same stage and refers to the Chicago Police Department as the “blue klux klan,” and Bobby Rush states that the Fraternal Order of Police has long been the sworn enemy of black people.”

Back in the day this was more in reference to the “Gods and clods” (Jove vs cattle) to excuse the excesses of the great ... but with the Woke and other post-moderns it has become an excuse for misbehavior, a reason for getting a pass, if you’re group are considered victims.
