Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar described the September 11, 2001, terror attacks on the United States in a nonspecific way during a recent speech to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)
Omar delivered the keynote speech at a fundraiser for CAIR in late March and urged Muslim Americans to “raise hell” and “make people uncomfortable.” In one part of her speech that surfaced on Twitter this week, Omar described the 9/11 attacks in a peculiar way.
“CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something, and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties,” Omar said.
CAIR has notable ties to Islamic terrorist groups and was listed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) as an unindicted co-conspirator in funneling millions of dollars to Hamas.
Omar’s speech to CAIR in March sparked a pro-Israel protest, wherein hundreds of protesters descended upon the venue and attacked Omar for her comments that many have perceived to be anti-Semitic.

She means “some people” as if they may or may not have been Muslims. Why did “some people” do it, however? For sport? Because they were just average people protesting white nationalism? No, they did it specifically for their ideology.

Well, if it helps, honey, Muslims did “raise hell” on 9/11/2001 but they weren’t Americans.

She certainly has no problem identifying people as white men.
This racist needs to lose her position in government- we don’t need a terror sympathizing anti-American, anti-Semite in our government- that’s NOT who we are as a nation! Vote her out people! Why the heck aren’t the republicans at the very least calling for censure of her or something?
Every Democrat should be asked to denounce her whenever they open their mouths. If they do not denounce her, that candidate should get the Alinsky treatment.

She is overwhelmingly, overplaying her hand. She’s lived in a somalian, muslim shithole bubble in Minneapolis. She doesn’t know much outside of that. Now that she’s in DC, as a member of Congress, she’s getting her ass kissed and invited to all the parties. If stuff ever goes sideways again, she might be forced to eat her words and I’m sure there is an ever increasing number that are lining up to make that happen.
On a side note:
From what little information I’ve read about her, the math on her doesn’t add up....12yr old refugee in a refugee camp in Kenya - comes to America, somehow - she is now 37 and they say she got her citizenship over 20yrs ago - so that puts her around 17ish - naturalization takes how long? I thought it was 7 years from application and classes, then a test? - even if she got to the US younger than 12, still doesn’t make sense.
To get refugee status you have to claim, Credible Fear, of something from the place you want refuge from. Right? She got refugee status and made it to the US. In 2016, after winning a state election in Minnesota, she traveled back to somalia to meet with its leadership as they were heading into an election. Met with the “president” of the country. Is that fear? Doesn’t seem like it to me. Did she lie in her interview? Even if she did demonstrate ‘credible fear’ then, it isn’t there anymore. So, should her refugee status be rescinded so she can go back home to her home country.
Why should any “refugee” be allowed to stay once their country is safe. Shouldn’t we be contacting all the syrians that have come here, recently, to let them know that there’s a plane waiting on them to take them home?

She's also claiming she's sick and tired of being a second class citizen in a country that a) rescued and succored her, providing housing and food and training for her family members, b) gave her an advanced education c) gave her free college and preferential admissions and d) gave her a govt job through refugee preferential hiring and e) elected her to the US Congress.
We should all be so sick and tired as she is. Poor call me victim child.
