I think maybe every university faculty member in the US should have a background check and have to identify in a national data base of college sexual predators if found guilty.

These "law students" are future professional attorneys. Write their names down so you never make the mistake in hiring one of them.
And as for the faculty members, that's why they're at the university. They wouldn't be able to cut it in the private sector so they teach instead.
