TOKYO A lawyer for Nissan former Chairman Carlos Ghosn, who was taken back into custody last week, has outlined the conditions for his initial release on bail in an effort to clarify what he called incorrect speculation in the Japanese media.
Ghosn, accused of financial misconduct, was arrested in November, but released in March. He was detained again on fresh allegations Thursday.
It is unusual in Japan for a suspect who cleared bail to be arrested again.

He was accused of having Nissan take the losses on his personal investment portfolio -- kind of like Hillary cattle futures in reverse. He has French, Brazilian and Lebanese citizenship, according to the article.
Remember, Diversity is our strengthTM.
Japan, to my knowledge, has not drank the diversity sake.
That said, the picture, as well as the name, point to some Japanese guy drinking the cool aid about 1954. I’m surprised that he was able to rise to such a powerful position in Japan.
My grandfather was stationed in Japan for a good stretch of time, and said that they were a very racist people—just like everyone else. Desegregation was going on in the States at the time, and the Japanese he encountered were horrified at two things (1) that Desegregation was happening and (2) that in the U.S. they would have been lumped in with the colored portion of the mix.
This endless cycle of rearrests based purely on suspicion is unjust (not to mention the unfair treatment of the accused while arrested). As was attempting to force Ghosn’s wife to testify against him. What about the responsibility of the Nissan board of directors? Ghosn was not acting on his own, no matter what he did.
This is more about the Japanese government trying to get control back over a Japanese company, Nissan, that is owned by a foreign one.
Japanese dont like foreigners, and having one of their auto companies owned by foreigners and having the Japanese board being told what to do by a foreigner is seen as an insult.
I think Carlos Gohsn is Portuguese.
There is some history that goes way back with the Spanish and Portuguese.
It is not exactly a Japanese company now and you can’t do much about it.
Nissan is basically Renault, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Lada, Infiniti, Renault Samsung Motors, Dacia, Alpine and Datsun with Renault as a main element.
