Like you do not know?
The problem doesnt vindicate the un-American approach.
Like you do not know? What punishments do you speak of ?Who are the innocents ?
What is this un-American approach ? - fieldmarshaldj
I daresay none of us do. And await an honest chapter-and-verse account, preferably with links. Which, I am very confident, will all be rebutted by Ann Coulters Treason, and/or Stanton Evans Blacklisted by History.
In 1954 critic Leslie Fiedler captured the essence of McCarthyism: From one end of the country to another rings the cry, I am cowed! I am afraid to speak out!, and the even louder response, Look, he is cowed! He is afraid to speak out! - Ann Coulter, TreasonIn liberal mythology, McCarthy and the House UnAmerican Activities Committee (HUAC, of which Senator McCarthy obviously was not even a member) shut down the First Amendment rights of innocents. In reality, Bias in the Media was in full flower, and was neither intimidated by nor friendly to Senator McCarthy or HUAC.The proof is all over the place in contemporary US literature. In contrast to what you would have found in Iraq under Saddam Hussein. CNN went along and got along with Hussein, and only revealed that after the invasion by Bush43:
The News We (CNN) Kept To Ourselves [must read]In real life if First Amendment rights are suppressed in a country, people in that country dont read about it in the papers.
Sorry for the delay in responding, I went to bed.
Your comments in the thread, to me at least, have been obtuse and vague with respect to the discussion at hand. You seem to be critical of McCarthy, but not of those Communist witches that actually were found and did exist. It’s perilously close to repeating the media narrative that these were all “innocents”, when they most certainly weren’t.
