So Obama can change a policy with an executive order but Trump can’t change it back with an executive order?

No!!!!

I don’t know if executive orders are in the constitution so I cannot really give informed comment.

So I sound stupid asking why the founding fathers didn’t address the courts and the powers they should be allowed to have.

But I don’t understand it.

“What lawsuit is this a response to? “

And those filing it along with the judge should all be executed, tried then arrested....in that order.

If Trump issues a pardon that a Judge doesn’t like, can it be overturned with the individual being sent back to prison?

Obama’s order forbidding offshore drilling went unchallenged, how about that.

Here is the law:

https://legcounsel.house.gov/Comps/Outer%20Continental%20Shelf%20Lands%20Act.pdf

I found references to reports being submitted to Congress, but it appears to me that the Secretary of Energy is in charge of making these lease deals and merely reports them to the president and Congress.

But it is a complex act. I can’t tell if the judge is right or not on the legality. On the other hand, it should not be possible for a president to be able to act apart from Congress in a way that a future president cannot undo. Because this would mean that Congress has abdicated its responsibility to legislate.

“All presidents have the authority to revoke or amend any executive order by a prior president.”

According to this fake judge any previous executive order in order to be revoked has to have the approval of congress? I don’t think so.

“If the law IS written as she has indicated, it would seem to be unconstitutional. Allowing one President to invoke something with the stroke of a pen that another President cannot rescind without an act of Congress would seem unlikely to pass Constitutional muster. unlikely”

Agreed. Here’s the part of the law she’s making reference to:

“Withdrawal of unleased lands by President-

The President of the United States may, from time to time, withdraw from disposition any of the unleased lands of the outer Continental Shelf.”
