If the trade deal with China is not "great," the United States will not accept it, stated President Donald Trump on Friday. He stressed once again that the talks with Beijing are going "very well."

Washington and Beijing are engaged in very comprehensive and detailed negotiations, which include the US enlisting problems that it's had with China, the president added.

Meanwhile, the Asian Nikkei Review reported that China's President Xi Jinping is "wary" of meeting with Trump if his country doesn't get relief from US tariffs.

Keep the pressure on

China has some pretty high debt.

So do we. But they’re the ones making a fortune off of us.

If this was a war between crime families, we’re the Corleones and we have a Lot more money to outlast China, which is the equivalent of the Pimp, Tattaglia.

Take advantage of it.

Either that or go send Sonny to China :)

Kim in NK is Fredo :)

Sorry about that. I tried to post another ảticle originally, but it turned out, that FR doesn't allow articles from zerohedge.com to be posted as articles. Not sure why, exactly. So I found a similar article, and posted that. Granted it was pretty brief. Excuse that. Xi is expressing some concerns

about the Mueller report he was hoping would take Trump out. All those T-bill purchases and he gets zip for funding our socialism?

Here is what appeared to be, to me anyway, significant in that article:

“Anonymous US officials acknowledged that tariffs were an issue in reports on the talks published earlier this week, but they seemed confident that China would eventually accept the fact that some of the levies would need to remain in place for a period, for purposes of accountability.

They may have spoken too soon.”

That was the original point, anyway.

If we are $23 trillion in debt and much of our debt is owned by China explain how we have more money than they do.

I am sure our “negotiators” are giving away the store and don’t care one wit about the American worker. Were are the 25% tariffs we were promised?

You weren’t paying attention. The tariffs were conditional on China ( and the EU) not changing their ways. Trump was not pro tariffs, he uses tariffs as a weapon to obtain concessions.

The tariffs threatened were not permanent economy wrecking revenue sources

The president’s goal is make trade fairer and to increase American exports and thus jobs. Trump is a fair trader

Stuff it global butt boy. We were promised a 25% tariff and he backed down. I hope there is no deal. But traitors will disagree.

CHINA IS AN ENEMY.

Look up the phrase GDP and read about it.

Then get a basic economics book and read that.

Then you may be prepared to discuss in a logical way.

You didn’t listen to what he said. You heard tariff and jumped to the wrong conclusion. Your life must be sad when you are so badly wrong

It is a sad day when you call the president a liar. He did not back down. I think the tariff on steel and aluminum are still in effect.

I guess in your book President is a free traitor.

We were promised 25% tariffs on $250 Billion in imports.

The promise was contingent on negotiations. The tariffs of which you speak were not promised, but rather were threatened.

If China does not come to the table, the tariffs can then go into effect.

Like I said, you don’t listen

If the American worker gets screwed again then Trump will not win in ‘20. Americans in the rust belt are not stupid like you think and they pay attention. Any deal that lets the Gooks keep their tariffs and we drop ours will be a bad deal.
