A convention of the states would be hijacked by Soros and the Left so fast your head would swim. It would be all over, signed, sealed, and delivered before you even knew what hit you.

In today's climate, not a good idea, IMHO.

Even if things go over without a hitch, I'd like to know how more words on parchment will tame the beast. They ignore all of the words meant to contain it now. Fewer words and more hangings might turn the tide while everything else falls flat. It would be tough to ignore getting ones neck stretched for your malfeasance and treachery.

And that BS, folks, in a nutshell is why Constitutional Conservatives can't have nice things.

I hear this from the Nervous Nellies out there convinced that this is a way to abolish the 2nd amendment, and worse.

If that happened, then the WILL OF THE PEOPLE will be to choose tyranny, and relying on a faded piece of paper to stop it is about as stupid a forlorn hope as hoping that aliens will swoop in on flying saucers and spirit away the Congress to save us.

This is THE PEOPLE taking back their rightful power, and if THE PEOPLE are not doing so because they want liberty, then there is absolutely no hope anyway.

THIS IS CONSTITUTIONAL. The founders were smarter than you and gave this as a back door in the event of a crisis. Your very description of the times is a description of the crisis they envisioned.

It is monstrous stupidity not to take that remedy out of fear.

I agree that a convention would be commandeered by the left by lies, manipulation and terrorist tactics. And the media would report it as pure democracy in action. It’s way too risky.

Agree. The fact that there are already 3 new Constitutions in the works should frighten everyone. Soros has one ready to go. I can’t remember who has the others, but recall being
startled and not happy about it. Not worth the risk of losing our 2A! We have a chance to keep our Constitution with PDJT in office. Let’s work with him. Bring back Constitutional government.

A convention of states can only propose amendments that then require ratification. No different from Congress proposing amendments that then ratification.

Not. Each state appoints its own delegates, and each state gets one vote at the convention. For ratification of amendments, each state gets one vote, and 3/4 must agree on any one amendment. That means small states rule. Do the math.

Note that Soros and the Left aren't trying this now, however much they blather about Constitutional changes. The reason is that Soros, at least, knows his side would lose in any new Constitutional Convention.

Tell us why they aren't trying this now if you are so confident you're right.
