I’ve lived in this God forsaken state since 1972 and I assure you it is not what I or anyone I know wants. I used to try to fix things, even ran for office a couple times, local Republican stuff, but now Clan Lurker has officially given up.
Illinois is beyond redemption. There is no Republican Party here. There is only The Combine. To hell with the lot of them.

I have a niece who lives there and she loves it.
If someone was seriously interested in re-establish a facade of “Justice” in this country, Smollett really should be re-arrested and charged for this new round of felonies he has committed. Let’s see just how serious our “masters” are.

That’s only true when the media labels a coverup as a coverup. The media isn’t interested in exposing any coverups by members of privileged groups.
Illinois is on track to lose one or two House seats by the time the next census rolls around. In one year we lose the population equivalent to the town we live in. That’s astonishing.
Last year some friends of ours moved to the DFW area. Same company, same jobs, same pay but they realized a net income gain of $30,000 a year.
We’d be suckers if we stayed.
