Tucker fires warning shot on widespread censorship: Does Trump realize...if it goes unchecked?

Fox News host Tucker Carlson warned Wednesday that unless President Donald Trump clamps down on the growing censorship of conservative voices by tech giants such as Google and Twitter, he won’t be reelected in 2020. Why? Because without conservative voices, nobody will know the truth anymore.

The “Tucker Carlson Tonight” host posited the ominous prediction while speaking with renowned attorney and RNC committeewoman Harmeet Dhillon about Google’s willingness to silence dissidents both here in the United States and abroad.

Listen to the discussion below: VIDEO WAS HERE

There’s documented proof that Google has been jumping through hoops to cater to China’s Communist government, which seeks to tightly control what its citizens see and hear on the Internet.

Just this week Google banned ads for virtual private network products that target Chinese users. VPNs are frequently used to bypass the Chinese government’s censorship tools. Last year Google was busted building a special censored search engine just for China. While the project was allegedly cancelled after backlash, the evidence suggests it’s still ongoing.

Why is this relevant? Because the same thing appears to be happening here. Except instead of censoring Chinese citizens on behalf of the Chinese government, Google seems to be censoring conservative voices on behalf of the Democrat Party and its left-wing media allies.

“Google has been punishing conservatives and hounding them out and criticizing people who support anything conservative for a couple years, ever since the election actually,” Dhillon noted.

I for one, would like to see PDJT turn up the heat on this, big time...more than he is...perhaps behind the scenes there is a lot going on, not sure.

If people had backbones these days, they could not be "hounded" and criticism would not affect what they had to say.

Being cut off of a platform is one thing - merely being pushed around requires pushing back.

Tucker also needs to take account of supposed right leaning venues which self censor themselves when bending to the left!

My bet, is that he understands this well.

I think Tucker should focus on conservative censorship by his employer.

I think losing Fox is big. Fox has been a readily available alternative. Fox appears to be moving toward becoming MSNBC-lite.

The impact will be significant.

Audits all around! EVERY executive of Google, Twitter, etc., should be audited back at least seven years and the companies, as well. In addition, the Klintoons, Herr Muëller and a host of other Dhimmicrats should be audited, as well a a number of destructive pubbies.

The recovered monies can be used to help build the wall.

It’s long past time for Trump to go after these techno-fascists.

I’m often surprised when talking to people who get all their information from CNN and Facebook to discover that they actually believe all the bulls*t that gets shoveled at them constantly. Trump colluded with the Russians, he lies constantly, Obama is responsible for the economic recovery etc. etc.

If the level of conservative censorship we see now on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter had been in place in 2016 Trump never would have pulled off his victory.

“I think Tucker should focus on conservative censorship by his employer”.

Can’t you see what he’s been doing? He’s been doing that. He is fighting the good fight. He hasn’t backed down.

From what I’ve read, a part of their business model is that they merely post stuff and cannot be held liable for WHAT is posted. If they are now regulating what they post, they should become liable for any false or slanderous information they allow to be posted.

Once you start editing what is allowed, you become an entity like the Washington Post. If you choose to reject some things, but don’t reject others, then you are liable for any bad thing you permit to be posted.

Makes sense to me.

How about 1A Sanctuary States, just as MO is in process of becoming a 2A Sanctuary State?

PDJT could then support those States as the representative of the Federal Government.

States would pass laws negating any censorship at all, phrased in support with the First Amendment. Just as most States reiterate the 2A, likely their Constitutions reiterate the First.

I’m more worried about voter fraud and states requiring their electors to vote for the person with the national majority.

Google has become a Chinese instrument of war being used against the United States. A willing one.

And right now... today... This needs to be handled ASAP. With them with the FCC, FTC, and the FEC using Executive orders if he has to.

Mr. Carlson is absolutely right about this. We are at a critical juncture in many areas, not the least is free speech and the free flow of information.

Within the leviathan known as the Federal Government, there must be a few alphabet agencies with authority to address this, no?

Me too. This really IS a hill worth dying on.

Millenials get ALL of their info from social media.
Conservative voices have essentially been frozen out.

If we can’t change that there will be no way to ever reach these people, and it will be Game Over in about a decade.

“Fox News host Tucker Carlson warned Wednesday that unless President Donald Trump clamps down on the growing censorship of conservative voices by tech giants such as Google and Twitter, he won’t be reelected in 2020. “

A vague demand with an absurd threat “if he doesn’t”.

What precisely should Trump do to “clamp down”? Order then through royal decree? Arrest the CEOs for being unfair? Cease the companies and nationalize the operations?

Just give us a nice idea of what can be done to Fox News for the same “reasons” by some future democrat?

If you listen to campaign manager Brad Parscale carefully, he is preparing to win 2020 without social media. How? Because they’ve already extracted wht they need from social media - individual voter contact information.

Which is more persuasive - something that you may see on your news feed or a personal email or text?

Not to say this isn’t a concern, but only that I think Trump’s team has a lot of tricks in store and they’re not obviously showing their cards. Trump will fight this censorship, but mostly for others not for himself.
