I think it a big mistake for Trump to engage this guy and make comments about the Conway marriage, There are children involved.
Big mistake. Trump needs to focus on Presidential matters, not the Conway marriage. His own marriage behaviors have not been impeccable so why start this?
Mrs Conway has become a negative push factor thanks to her emotionally vulnerable husband. She should bow out of the WH and deal with her decision to stay in her marriage

Is his antipathy for the love of his live (they say there is a fine line between love and hate) out of mere jealously, or is there a serious marital issue in their personal life that he is not dealing well with?
