My email to Moran:

Why is it that when President Trump declares a national emergency that correlates exactly with laws already on the books, you object, but when President Obama declared emergencies that had no relation to existing laws, you did not object? The border wall/fence is authorized by law. Congress decided to not fund the construction in order to pretend to care about protecting the nation while doing nothing to actually protect it, apparently.

Your vote today in favor of nullifying the national emergency declaration is an in-the-face slap at conservatism and the rule of law. Illegal aliens are coming in unbidden, admitted in many cases due to the outrageously lax “asylum” rules, where breaking the law to enter puts them light years ahead of those who follow the law and apply in their home country.

Yet you feel the need to fly your middle finger in the face of every conservative Kansan who believes the wall is moral, necessary, and right. You, in my opinion, epitomize the Republican party - anti-conservative, but just slightly less so than the Democrats. I see no reason to support you in any future elections.

Destroy each and every one of them.

No matter the cost.

The RAT party has 47 members in the senate.

What happened to the other six? Were they not there? Did they abstain?

Anyone know what’s the deal with their vote, or lack thereof?

This is really a trial vote for impeachment lead by the Turtle ...

67 votes for removal, less 49 dems leave 18 needed to convict and remove Trump.

So we can expect the 12 who voted against Trump this time do vote for conviction.

And since Turtle allowed this vote to go to the floor in the first place, I would count him to vote to convict as well, meaning only 5 more GOPe types are needed ....

Each Republican who voted for this should be asked why they voted to get Americans assaulted and killed. Whenever they appear in public, they should be confronted like the Left harasses those who defend America. They are pigs.

IIRC Obala vetoes a dozen or so bills. This will be #1 for DJT.

The vote margin was 69.5%. Looks like to me it is a veto proof vote. Are these Republicans playing games or will the same 12 vote to override his veto?

Understand this...
The Senate just voted to end the idea that America is a sovereign nation, all that entails.

A dark day in our history.

In the end, this resolution fails by veto and lack of votes to override. This is a fine opportunity for Trump to veto something and remind representatives and senators that his vote carries way more weight.

I’m not happy with Portman from Ohio, but unless he has a primary opponent, he has my vote in a general election against a Democrat. It’s that simple.
