Aurus emblem.
Denis Manturov, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation emphasized the importance of the event for the domestic automotive industry development, "For the first time in the Russian history, a project aimed to release a commercial line-up of luxury vehicles has emerged. Aurus is a national brand, which represents modern, technically developed and innovative Russia. I am convinced that AURUS will have a success and that the Aurus vehicles will soon take over their niche both at the domestic and export markets."

Looks like a Rolls Royce knockoff for getting the party leaders out to their dachas. Not a vehicle for the proletariat.
The front 3/4 profile looks okay. The rest? Looks Russian.
A Bentley-koff.
The side view of the front looks a lot like the current Chrysler 300. Are there many affluent blacks in Russia? And if you are playing “Wheel of Misfortune” and get a “T” and buy an “E”, you have the Taurus Senate.
Maybe it is me but I keep seeing the name as ANUS.

From Wikipedia: “Retail prices are expected to start at 10 million rubles ($160,000).[6]
Porsche and Bosch are reported to have been involved with the development of the engine.[7]”

Look, a RollsRoyceski.
I’m waiting for India’s Tata cars to be available here. I’ll get one and get some stick-on letters, and put ‘bodacious’ on it.
Drink Soviet champagne.
In Soviet times that high-end vehicle was called a Zil.
Members of the Politburo did not want them, preferring instead to be chauffeured around in German-built Opals.
We had them bugged for several years in what was probably the CIA’s most successful operation.
Ah, you’re familiar with the Prince of Darkness?
Son of ZiL.

1942 Packard 160 series. Not so much RR.
First Russian executive cars were modeled around Packards. This one somehow kept a lot from it although in modern rendition.
