What's weird is that Omar's district is supposed to be the most heavily Jewish district in all of the upper-Midwest. Omar would not have been elected without the votes of thousands of self-loathing Jews. Why?

Some people can’t count. Omar got over 265,000 votes.

There might be 10-12,000 Jewish voters there.

I believe Ilhan Omar won the Democratic primary in her district from the long-term previous Representative Phyllis Kahn who’s Jewish.

Apparently, as with virtually all inner cities, there was no Republican presence, so Ilhan ran unopposed in the general election.

Maybe the Jewish Democrats in her district didn’t vote heavily in the primary, which left Blacks and an overwhelming turnout by the Muslim community to put her over the top.

No. That’s not true. I used to live in that district and it’s mostly white supposedly Christians.

St. Louis Park and Edina are very Jewish. Not Omar’s turf but I could be wrong. Fled from the stinking pile 15 years ago. Still have a kid at the U so am kind of on top of things.
